****Final Fantasy x-2 **** Having played and completed several final fantasy games when this one came out i had to buy it. Final Fantasy games all have a story and this is no different. We get told about a world called spira and how it was "once a world of prosperity, substaned by an advanced civilisation, based on the use of machine. It then tells you about how the world has been destructed due to "sin". This is where your main character and friends come in you are civilisations only hope. woooooooo There is so much to do in this game so i am just going to talk about some of the basics (this game has easily over 40 hours worth of gameplay ... Much has changed in Spira over the last couple of years. Machina are no longer banned, temples are no longer sacred, and everyone, from the crusaders to the priests has had to re-evaluate their lives and their purpose. Even the Noble High Summoner must find a new way. And so it happens that Yuna, heartbroken by the loss of her beloved Tidus, joins the Gullwings, hunting for spheres (videotape type things) that might lead her to her lost love. Helped by Rikku and Paine, she travels throughout Spira hunting for any clue that might help her task, saving people on the way. This being squares first direct sequel, there are many who'll sneer and say that ... Read the complete review

So as the world was waiting for XII and the vast majority of the world still waiting to be able to get online with XI, Square decided to buck their trend and release the first direct sequel to a Final Fantasy title. Unfortunately the dream of a sequel to VII wasn’t delivered (that comes in the form of DVD/PSP-movie Advent Children, folks) and Square decided to opt for a game a bit more fresh in people’s minds, which gives us Final Fantasy X-2. If we were a cynical lot we would accuse Square of making a quick buck and, lets face it, money would be involved. However as Square say, they are tired of creating a new game universe with the characters, story and graphical ... Read the complete review

Final Fantasy X-2 is the sequel to the highly successful Playstation 2 game, Final Fantasy X (FFX). As far as I know this is the only sequel in the Square's RPG (Role Playing Game) series as the standard format is that each game is stand-alone although there are elements that are common to all episodes. Final Fantasy X-2 is set 2 years after the events of FFX and as it begins we're treated to a musical spectacular as Ex-Summoner Yuna performs in a concert in Luca, or does she? Those who've played FFX will recognise Yuna and her companion Rikku from there but for those unfamiliar with them they are introduced in a fair amount of detail. It seems that the world ... After playing Kingdom Hearts (due to by obsession with Disney) and loving it I decided to move over to the Final Fantasy range. I was a huge fan of FFX and lost a couple of months of my life while playing it. So gripped on the story, I impatiently waited for the sequel to come out. When it finally did as much as I enjoyed it I was also extremely disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the graphics where exceptional and the story line was good too but the new battle sequence (with 'dresspheres, levelling up etc) was overly complicated and I refuse to replay the entire game over again for less than 5% to get the perfect ending. All that aside, there are loads of different ... Read the complete review
