GameTrak Real World Golf 2007 (PS2)

This almost really works. It is close. But it just falls short of being a really quality product. The idea is brilliant. Bring a golf simulator in the front room of your average hacker who can't spare the cash of going to a real one and having their swing pulled apart by a pro. I bought this game with the whole package; the gloves, game, club, base unit and pedal. The game was quite good for the price i bought it for. As i have the Eyetoy i thought this could be another great interactive game, which it is. The system allows you to be part of the game by using your arms to swing a club. You play a character and when you start to swing your arm, the character's arm swings too. You can choose how much power to put into a shot as long as you don't spend too much time trying to get it in the hole. This is potentially a great idea here for the playstation and caould be seen to be much more realistic that other golf games. The advantage is that you get a real, but small, club that you stand there and swing. You are wearing gloves that are attached via retractable wires to a console on the floor. The annoying thing is that the console moves whilst swinging and it is hard to set up and get the setting correct so that when you do swing it is sometimes not very accurate. However there are a good range of courses and game options that are available and gives the game play much more realistic feel.
