First and foremost this is a terrific game and one of the best I have ever played. I usually reserve opinion until I have played on the game for a while but from the onset this game is in a different class. You play as Kratos the current greek god of war has won this title after battling and defeating Ares. Crikey! I was anticipating this game so much when it came out a while back and I wasn't disspointed. Quick overview time - Kratos is now the God of War, having taken over from Aeres at the end of the last game, but the Gods aren't happy and decide to strip him of his power. Queue epic revenge saga from the bald man involving copius amounts of blod and a few scattered limbs off. The game takes everything that was great abut the last game and adds to it. More magic, better magic, more weapons, better weapons, more enemies, more outrageous situations and general mayhem. God of War 2 is an action game developed by Sony for the Playstation 2. The story picks up at the end of God of War, Kratos our Spartan hero has now defeated Ares and become the God of War himself however he uses his new powers to aid his Spartan people in conquering the world and the rest of the Gods are displeased. I have had this game for a few months and I thing this game is awesome. The story line is well thought, the fighting was not just button mashing (there were specific ways to kill specific bosses), and the puzzles are challenging without being so hard you eventually give up. The soundtrack is also very good. It's always nice to have visuals and sounds. The bosses are also very fun. Each had its own different weakness and strength. One thing I would like more though is to see bosses be more random. This is an excellent sequel to god of war one. This game does not disappoint, it is just as mesmerizing and addictive as god of war one. I really enjoyed this game because the storyline is amazing. It is actually like you are part of a movie. They have intermittent scenes that progress you through the excellent story line. The graphics and puzzles are just as great as god of war one.
