God of War is all together quite a brilliant game. It has everything, the gore, the story, the hacking of limbs and swarm after swarm of enemy. God of War really does keep you very much on the edge of your seat.

You play a the character Kratos who had once been a spartan captain is now out to kill Ares who is attacking the city of athens along with his army. All the Greek methology exists and is well incorperated intot his game and the story I have to say is very imaginative. All throughout the game are elements of danger in the form of not only enemies but booby traps, spikes, swinging swords etc etc. The scenery is fantastic and graphics are pretty good all round. There are several large bosses throughout the game each requiring great skill to eliminate. The game is very long so you get your full money's worth and the end fight is spectacular.

The game is brimming with great imagination lasting all throughout. It's sure to be an all time fave for any hack n slash fan and was one of the first games to include button sequences to finish off a boss or enemy, a technique which has been used by many game developers today.

For around 10-15 pounds the game is sure to be a bargain, even better if you can get it second hand.

Summary: an all round decent game.
