gran turismo still the best (Gran Turismo 4 (PS2))

Advantages: long quality game

Disadvantages: crashing and bashing still gets you round quickly

Gran turismo 3 was the best driving game ever, everybody agrees with that pretty much. I was so excited about gran turismo 4 I couldnt wait.

Gran 3 was a huge game, you never really complete it, there are hundreds of hours to spend on a game this size.

Gran Turismo 4 you would expect to be better. And it is but.....

1 - If you have gran turismo 3 and only got 30% of the way through it do you really neeed another one ?
2 - The cars are different and there are more of them but there are plenty of cars on GT£
3 - The dricing experience hasnt evolved much at all so if you are expecetd a vastly improved simulator experience you will be dissapointed

In all gran turismo is fantastic but its like a facelift on a car, everyone goes wow and the salesmen hype it up but at the end of the day under the new skin its the same thing. I cant wait for the new model to come out ! - if I had read this review before buying I wouldnt have bothered with GT4 until it was very cheap and the hype had died down.

Summary: best racing game ever, but not much more to offer than GT3
