GAME INFORMATION Price: £24.99 Genre: Racing Players: 1-2 If there’s one game genre that made the Playstation as popular as it was, it was probably racing games. We saw the likes of Colin McRae, TOCA and no doubt I’d be run over if I didn’t mention Gran Turismo. One thing to note about all of those games is that they were all so successful that they also saw sequels on the same console. Things have moved on now and PS2 is today highly established and performing well. We haven’t yet seen the arrival of McRae and TOCA (at time of writing they’re almost here!). But we have seen our old, and always welcome, friend ... Read the complete review

I was very skeptical of this game when it first came out - it seemed like a watered down version of the original game that was an excuse to squeeze some more money out of us during the wait for the brilliant Gran Turismo 4. Nevertheless, I picked it up cheap one day, and found that, above all else, it's still got the fantastic gameplay and stunning graphics that one expects from the series, as well as plenty of new vehicles - chiefly newer European cars. The gameplay makes almost no alterations, other than in the GT mode. Considering the game only cost £20 on release, it's not much of a surprise that this mode has been watered down, and instead of a monetary ... Read the complete review

Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo series has a rather fine pedigree in gaming circles. The self-proclaimed 'real driving simulator' raced onto the PlayStation scene in 1998, reinvigorating the racing genre with its remarkable depth of handling, superb design, dazzling visuals and unparalleled roster of cars. Subsequent sequels saw the series go from strength to strength, with the only slight hiccup coming in Gran Turismo 4, thanks to the bizarre inclusion of the self-defeating B-Spec mode, which made much of the racing and gameplay elements somewhat redundant. Still, Sony have four very popular racing games, but as the more-knowledgeable of fans will know, two ... Read the complete review

I could have started this review by copying my Gran Turismo 3 review, deleting the detailed description at the beginning and leaving you with the juicy parts, all tarted up and with new words. Why? Well, that basically describes what GT Concept is all about. History ===== First, let me describe the Gran Turismo games. These games started on Sony's first console, the original Playstation, and took the racing game world by storm. Never before had so much detail gone in to the graphics, the handling and the customisation of the cars. It was the first time you could spend hours tinkering with a car for a race, only to buy another one for your garage ... Read the complete review

After being absoulutely outstanded by the standard of the previous Gran Tursimo 3 aspec release I just had to get the next game in the series. I must admit I really was expecting a lot given the very high standard set by the previous game. I was expecting it to be quite as good on many fronts but as I began to play on it I noticed that the game has just got that bit better! The difference was in Gran Tursimo concept is that unlike Gran tursimo 3 A spec which focuses on the career mode this game focuses more on the arcade style of driving and for that I didn't like it so much. The overall standard of gameplay was once again outstanding and the graphics ... Read the complete review
