Advantages: major fun!, get to commit crime without getting out in jail, addictive

Disadvantages: none

This is another highly addictive game that you could easily spend a whole day playing without realising it! Even if you don’t want to do all the missions, you can still have just as much fun playing around high-jacking cars, irritating the police and generally causing chaos wherever you go!

But the aim of the game is to complete illegal missions for various Gangsters around the city. There are three areas of the city, to which you access like levels. You have to complete a certain number of missions before you can enter the next area. There are many missions to complete, so this takes a while.

The missions are very easy at first; you have to do things like pick up a one of the gangster’s girlfriends and take her safely back to his club, Luigi’s. You have to do a number of fairly easy missions for Luigi, before increasing your criminal status and becoming better known on the crime scene. Then things start to get a bit harder; you are asked to do missions for other people who have heard about how reliable you are. For each mission, you will earn a certain amount of money. The harder the mission, the more money will be awarded. You will need this money in order to complete some of the missions and to buy suitable ammo in order to protect yourself.

You will get to drive all sorts of cars around the city and will regularly be on the run from the police; you will be given a certain amount of stars when you commit a crime; the more stars you have, the more police will be after you, thus becoming harder to escape. If you are really lucky, you will make it to one of the garages in time where your car will be resprayed and repaired to look like a completely different car so the police won’t recognise you!

This is a game of patience. You have got to keep going at the missions until you complete tham or you will not be able to progress in the game. This can get a bit infuriating when you approach a near impossible task
which you cannot seem to complete, and you end up trying it about fifty times, but the whole idea of them is to work out the correct way to do it; it’s all about strategy and tactics. This is very much a game of skill and will take quite a while to master. You will not get very far if you are a beginner; you will have to practice at it for ages!

There are also a lot of other mini-missions to complete, such as police missions where anytime you highjack a police car, you have to catch a certain amount of criminals in a certain amount of time in order to complete. You can also do missions with taxis and ambulances, which are self-explanatory.
You will also hear a phone ringing from time to time; you have to find this phone and there will be an alternative mission for you to complete. But you cannot get out of completing any of the missions, all you can do is postpone them!

Summary:- There are 74 main missions to do and many other things you must do in order to complete the entire game. This game requires much persistence and a hell of a lot of time if you want to get anywhere serious. There are so many things to keep you entertained on this game, but if you are easily offended, this will not be for you; the game is full of violence, swearing and crime and nothing else! It is an exciting mission as you progress from nothing into most wanted criminal; you will be constantly chased by dangerous mobs and countless police by the end, you will not know where to hide!
The game can be saved at any point, and although you can be killed and lose lives, the lives are never-ending and there is never a ‘game over’. A top game, I would recommend it to anyone.

Good review jessica, but lacking in a couple of areas (eg graphics and sound) for that VU. Let me know if you update.

Lovely photo by the way :>)

Hmm, stealing cars and crashing them. There's nothing like it.
