Advantages: Great gameplay

Disadvantages: Main character doesnt speak!

One of the first games to hit the Playstation 2 and despite the new GTA releases since then, this one still holds strong. Boasting a huge landscape map incorporating a realistic Liberty City, excellent missions and storylines, and lots of high speed action, this game knocked spots off of everything else out there at the time.

The only problem with the game at the time was that your character couldn't speak, so it was hard to build up the attachment to him. However, the other characters in the game which you come across are all very full of life and realistic so this was a small gripe.

This game paved the way for the GTA which we see before us now and you can see how it layed the foundations. To play it now might be a bit of a step down from GTA IV but its still an excellent play, and you could still have plenty of fun on it.

Summary: Still worth a go, good ol game
