You've read all the moral panic in the Daily Mail about this series of games, and how anyone playing them will immediate start out on a crime spree across their towns, and civilisation will come to an end shortly after. I think I may have been playing it wrong, as I have continued to lead a normal family life, so can only discuss and review on this basis. If you are someone who copies everything you see in a game, then maybe think twice Otherwise, this is a really fun game for the PS2, and being a bit older means you can pick up a copy used for much less than the newer games. I bought this after reading reviews that said it was one of the top game for the ps2. And they were right. Great storyline, gameplay and tasks within the game. It's huge and you can take ages driving around and exploring the city and space around it. If you've watched breaking bad, then you can probably really get in to the story of this too.
There's no doubt about it. GTA V is one of the best games around. I had to buy it. I've been playing Grand Theft Auto games for years - yes, even those 2D ones from 1997 or whenever it was - and I wasn't disappointed by this latest intallment. Well, I say I wasn't, but perhaps slightly... Not enough to give it less than a five star rating though. I thought the game lacked the atmosphere of Vice City, but then what game can compete with that? The story line is still excellent (in fact, I love the way the characters intertwine - the series needed something that to rejuvenate its format) and the visuals are stunning. Seriously, the map is gigantic. I'm happy sometimes to just steal a quad bike, ride up to the top of a mountain and just look around, such is the layout... ... Maybe another slight negative is that San Andreas - the game's last generation predecessor - actually had some activities that were left out of this one. This doesn't bother me too much, but I know my son would rather go bodybuilding or learn new fighting techniques than perform yoga exercises or play tennis. Rockstar has set such a high standard with each new release that it's hard not to be slightly disappointed as a long time fan, but rest assured, the game stands alone as one of the most expansive and replayable ever. And I haven't even tried multiplayer yet! What really makes the game for me is the chemistry between the main characters. It's quite evident that much time and effort was put into making them unique and interesting, as they all are, especially Trevor! Highly recommended. Much better than GTA IV.
I got this game just after it came out and it's been one of my favourite games ever since then. It ranges from having really easy missions such as just delivering something to really difficult missions such as having to try and catch someone or a train. You can go around the city and buy different clothes, get hair cuts, buy guns, you can do anything. You can also hold up a store and rob them. Whenever you 'accidentally' kill someone in the game you get to take their money too, bit gory and morbid but helps you through the game.. Except for the police that come after you. It's easy to get rid of your police wanted level too, just have to hide somewhere or keep switching cars so they can't find you. The further you get in the game, the more of the map you unlock and that means there's more properties and places to go. This game is an awesome game and I've loved it since I got it!
This release of gta is a lot more open ended than gta vice city. for starters the map is alot bigger it starts off about the same size and gta vice city, but as your move up more on missions you earn more of the map. Also your character can now swim in this which I love it can be a easy way to shake of the police. Their are also alot more customizing options in this game your can now change the way your car looks and also dress your character how you want, as well as give him tattoos and change his hair. There are alot more weapons and a few new modes of transport such a bmx bike which is my new fave. The storyline is fun and there are some interesting cheats which allow you to do fun things. Its plays well and once you are in the game there isn't alot of loading times.
This game is a pretty famous game, and is really the first game that really propelled the GTA name (vice city and the previous GTA games did not have the impact that this game did). What makes this game so great is just the sheer diverisity in it, and honestly I prefer this game to GTA 4 (I have not tried gta 5, but gta 4 was so poor that I don't feel that I am even going to bother). In this game you play CJ, who is a gangster wanting to make it large in san andreas. You start off on the hood, with your friends big smoke and another bloke who's name evades me right now. Anyway, after fighting other gangs for various things such as weapons, drugs, money etc, you basically make you way up in the world. As well as having a set of missions, there are also side quests, as well as a completely free roam as well. There are literally millions of side quests, from being a vigellante cop, driving a fire engine and extinguishing fires, playing 2player, robbing peoples houses, driving a taxi, driving an ambulance, playing pool, crushing cars in a car crusher... the list is pretty huge. Also this game has RPG style elements to it, as you character has various stats, like driving skill, motorbike skill, plane, helicopter skill, as well as all the weapons skills (there are an awful lot of weapons... I've never counted but minimum its over 30... it has to be). There are also respect, fitness, fullness/hunger and strength skills which can drop as well as raise, so you often need to earn the respect of your gang by killing other game members and police, and dressing the part, and so on. The driving mechanics in the game are not the best... but they are certainly good enough... which is more than what I can say about GTA4. GTA4 is essentially GTA san andreas with a different map and different characters, with better graphics and worse gameplay, less imaginative levels and worse driving. Honestly, if you want a GTA game (excluding 5 as I have no idea what that is like), san andreas is the one to go for. Sure it has worse graphics, but you can play 2 player (you can't do that on GTA4), it has a larger map, and you have a better RPG system (this is lost somewhat on GTA4), and the driving is better. Also in free-roam you can collect bounty, and as you collect more bounty (by doing illegal things like killing people, crashing into police cars etc), the more police will come after you. You can loose the bounty by simply running fast enough for a long period of time, getting a respray of the car you are in, or generally just hiding. Overall I have to rate thins game 5/5 due to its awesome map size, the huge number of different things to do as well as different vehicles, but I would say parents don't get this for children, really this is a 18game. The only thing that would annoy me about this game is the annoying "driving/flying" school missions, as often you cannot do the next mission until you have a driving/pilot license, and these missions are not only really tricky, but incredibly boring as well, and its around these points that the game just gets a bit tedious. Really this game is better than GTA4 by miles.
Without doubt the best gta game i have ever played! Its a little out dated now in terms of graphics, but it makes up for this with the game play. Since this game was realease there has been other GTAs released but none of them have lived up to the same hype as GTA SA. In this GTA you can customise the characters clothing, hairstyle and even body shape; if you want your character to be fat just keep eatting at fast food places, if you want your character to walk around like a tank then the gym is the place to be. One thing I really liked about this game was the size of the map. It could take you a god while to get from one side of the map to the other and during that time you could be crossing a desert, cities or even forrest. Overall this is a brilliant game and I would even be considered to buy a ps2 just so i could play this game again, I tottally recomend this game to any GTA fan!
---------------------------------- When I bought this Product ---------------------------------- I first heard of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas about year or so after I finished playing Vice City, I was already a big fan of the series so I decided to pre-order it from Amazon for the PS2, I can't remember the exact price but I think it might have been about £30 - £35 I bought this from Amazon as at the time it was the only place I'd ordered from online, plus as I was still under 18 I couldn't just go an buy it from a store. ------------------------------- My Experience / Features ------------------------------- As soon as I removed the shrink wrapping I immediately opened the case to stare at the disk, I then read the manual and took a good look at the poster that I received with it which I believe also had a map on one side which I found useful to see what kind of size the map would be compared to the previous game in the series ------- Story ------- Unlike the previous two entries in the series (Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto Vice City) this game took place in the state of San Andreas in the year 1992, consisting of three cities known as Los Santos (based on Los Angeles), San Fierro (based on San Francisco) and Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas). The main character is Carl Johnson (CJ) and is returning home from Liberty City after hearing about the death of his mom, he is promptly harassed by some local cops known as C.R.A.S.H who decide to threaten to frame him for a fellow officer's murder unless he assists them in illegal operations. The game sees him return home to Grove Street to help out his brother with their gang (Grove Street Families) and the war with the Ballas and the Vagos, he also works to try and get the gang's respect back, and also to gain the respect of his brother which he lost after he left Los Santos after the death of his brother Brian in 1987. -------- Travel -------- There are various forms of transport in this game and a lot more than the previous instalment in the series, the vehicles now resemble the early 90s style that would have been available at the time. The cars in this game have had some changes since the previous game as I mentioned above, there are also some new additions and even some new types of vehicle such as the Tow Truck and the Tug (aircraft haul vehicle), and there are also some new sports cars (e.g. Buffalo and the Bullet), novelty vehicles such as the Kart (Go Kart) and a Mower. Bikes are similar to the previous game with the standard sports bike and Scooter, there is also a NRG 500 (Racing Motor Bike), a FCR 900 (based on a Ducati 900 Super Sport) and even a police bike known as the HPV1000. Boats are again similar but with the only addition being a light patrol boat known as the Launch. Planes are in the game properly this time with the Shamal (private jet type plane), the AT-400 (based on Boeing 737-400), the Andromada (based on a Lockheed C-141 Starlifter) and the Hydra (based on a Harrier Fighter Jet), for extra fun there is even a Jetpack located within the game. Helicopters are similar to the options found in Vice City but adding on the the Raindance (based on a Sikorsky S-70A) and the Leviathan (based on a UH-3 Sea King). Trains can also be hijacked and driven around the map, there is even a side mission that requires the use of the train. ---------- Combat ---------- The combat is similar to the previous game with the standard Auto Aim being available to use from the start. The player can also build up muscle and stamina to help when in a gun fight. As well as muscle and stamina the player can also gain skills in fire arms and eventually dual wield certain weapons. Gang members can also be recruited to help with gang wars depending on CJ's respect level, although they can only be recruited at certain points in the game. ------------ Summary ------------ Good Points: *Three Cities instead of one *Longer story *Planes Bad Points: *Quite far to travel across the map ------------------ Overall Rating ------------------ I have enjoyed this game very much and have probably played it at least ten times and would quite happily play it again, I give this a 5 star rating as it's a brilliant game even though it is now 9 years old and would highly recommend this to anyone.
About The Game This game was created by Rockstar Games and released in 2004, this game is one of many GTA (Grand Theft Auto) games. Others include GTA Vice City and GTA 3. The game is currently available for £10.03 including delivery on Amazon (it is definitely worth it with over 192 MISSIONS)! The game is for players aged 18 and over, I would think it would be enjoyable for those younger but it all depends on their maturity. The game involves gang violence, drug use, theft, bad language and strip clubs - so I will let you decide for yourself if this is suitable. The Storyline Carl Johnson has just been released from prison and returns to his family home on Grove Street to find a lot has changed since he was last there. His mother has been killed and he is out for revenge. First he needs to get the Grove Street gang back together which isn't as easy as he thinks as a lot of his friends have developed drug problems or are now linked to other gangs. We also get to meet carl's brother and sister and her boyfriend. It's a good story line and gets better as you progress through the game. I don't find the cut scenes too long and they can be quite informative so don't be tempted to skip them the first time you watch them as they may contain important mission information. The Aim of the game To achieve 100% game completion you must pass all main missions and side missions. I still didn't manage everything but I'm pretty close. If you are busted by the police or killed the police department and hospitals will take $100 and confiscate your weapons. Over time you will build up a stash of weapons in your safe houses and will be able to get more there or go to an ammunition store to buy them. You can buy safe houses so you will have them all over the maps and shouldn't have to travel far to save your game. You can save at any point as long as you are not in the middle of a mission, due to the amount of missions none of them should take too long. The Missions The missions are excellent and there are plenty of them, with a good range of difficulty and goals. Here's a quick list to give you an idea of the types of missions you can expect: - Get a haircut - Drive a person safely from A to B - Win a dance contest (requires tapping different controller buttons in time to the music) - Win a driving race - Rob a house - Defeat a gang - Blow up a house - Shoot people - Take photos of targets The majority of missions involve driving and shooting one or several targets. Side Missions I love this aspect of the game, if I get stuck on a level I just mess around trying to do some side missions to pass the time before going back to a mission. Spray Painting - A can of spray paint can be found in Carl's house on Grove Street. Whenever you see a gang "tag" which is not green, you are to aim your spray can at it and press the fire button to spray over the rival gang's tag with a green 'Grove Street' gang tag. There are 100 of these to be found throughout the game, a lot are in obvious places on walls you pass, others are much trickier to find. On completion you are awarded with safe house weapons. Oysters - In this game you are able to swim, there are 50 oysters hidden in the water, some are easy to find in peoples swimming pools and under bridges but others are much harder. For finding all these you will receive $100 000 and your lung capacity will be increased, as will your sex appeal - swit swoo! Horseshoes - These are dotted around the Los Venturas Island, some are up very high so you will need to wait until you are on a high enough level to get a jet pack to retrieve these ones. The jet pack is also fantastic for travelling around very quickly. Rewarded with weapons, cash and increased luck. Snapshots - There are 50 scenes which you are to take pictures of, without the guidebook I would never have found these. You can also find maps and pictures of what you are to photograph online. Stunts - There are also 50 stunt jumps to complete in your vehicle, I'm just drive around like a maniac and if I get one, I get one. Taxi - You can earn money and complete the taxi mission by picking up and dropping off 50 passengers in total. You don't have to do these all at once, I usually try to do around 5 at a time and go back to it later. A dot will appear on the map where your fare is waiting. You are to collect the person and then take them to their destination in a time limit. You will be tipped if you do if quickly and without any damage to your car. Your reward for dropping off 50 passengers is that all taxis will have nitro. Vigilante - Get in police car and click R3 to toggle the vigilante missions, a criminal will show up on your map and you have a limited time to find and kill him. his is difficult due to the time limit and the fact that you can get caught and arrested. Reach level 12 to improve your armour. Ambulance - Get in an ambulance and toggle the paramedic mission, you then have to pick up injured people and drop them off at the hospital in a limited time. Reach level 12 to increase your health. Firefighter - Get in a fire engine and put out fires around the city to complete the firefighter mission. If you reach level 12 Carl will become Fireproof There are many more missions including working as a trucker, a pimp, a valet, in a quarry and as a courier. There are so many more they can't all be listed but these side missions alone will keeps you occupied for days. Vehicles This game is brilliant for the range of vehicles, you can get in just about any car you see, occasionally the police have the sense to lock their car doors and you will be arrested if you are caught trying to get in one. You can earn rewards and improve your skill by completing levels in the driving school, bike school, pilot school and boat school. There are stadiums for you to race in and earn money too. Weapons There are many weapons you can use including knuckle dusters, knives, pistols, machine guns, shotguns and molotov cocktails. These come in especially handy for throwing through windows and blowing up cars. Turf Wars Areas controlled by your "Grove Street" gang show up as green as you go progress through the game, if an area is a different colour it means another gang controls this area. If you go to this area and shoot a couple of the gang members (usually wearing that colour bandana or clothing) you will start a gang war. You will have to kill gang members who come in three waves to win the gang war and take over the area. Everything Else - For energy you can find hearts around the cities which fills up energy. You can also visit many food outlets to restore energy. Bullet proof vests become available to buy in Ammunation (the ammunition store) and some are dotted around for you to pick up. - Muscles, if you think Carl is looking a bit on the slim side, or his punching is just too weak, head to the gym where you can work out each day to improve stamina (to run longer), muscle and strength. You can learn new attack moves here and improving muscles makes Carl stronger. - Girlfriends, Carl meets a few lady friends in this game and some of the missions involve wining, dining and doing a drive-by shooting with the lady in his life. - Casinos, you can play on various gambling machines in the casinos to try and make a bit of extra cash or pass away some time. - There are lots and lots of cheats for this game, I'm not one who likes using cheats but I did get the jet pack one as it was so frustrating taking so long to get from one part of the map to another. Overall Positives: - Plenty of missions which are varied (some driving, some shooting, some collecting things) - Lots of side missions to keep you occupied - Large map and lots of areas to visit - Realistic graphics, good choice of music - Lots of weapons and vehicles to use - Can save the game at any time Negatives: - The game involves a lot of driving and flying. Some of the flying missions are very difficult and you may get to a point where you cannot go any further without winning a race or completing a flying mission - you need a lot of perseverance and patience. - The map in the corner is very small, when you unlock more areas the areas you can travel to are vast so I often found myself having to pause and open the full screen map (not a huge problem, just being picky now). There is a big guide book you can buy for this game which is very useful. I borrowed it from a friend as it contains maps of where to find the hidden objects for side missions. It also acts as a kind of walk through guide for missions and I would definitely say it is worth a look. This is, without a doubt, my favourite game of all time. I wouldn't normally dream of paying the full RRP prices on new releases, but if I had paid a lot for this one I could't complain at all. We've had weeks of fun out of this game and I would highly recommend it.
Despite the insane cheats and crazy glitches this was one of the best open world games ever made for me, i think the city is perfect, quite big with a shed load of different pedestrians, people, main characters and weapons. All be it some very "interesting" purple weapons found behind dumpsters (if you've played this you'll know what i mean) with the exception of the knuckle duster. I was hoping it would make a return from vice city but sadly didn't in this game. The sound and graphics are above what i expected from a PS2 game with a fantastic range of stations with different genres, funny DJ's and lengthy talk shows. There are hilarious things pedestrians say when you walk down the street like "Aliens are coming" and random spouts of anger at the player, Carl johnson. Graphics may be SD but R* have really made an effort to include minor details unlike in GTA 4 where they include licence plates unique to the car, the ability to take pictures with a camera and simple things that make the game much more fun. What I really enjoyed was the new activities and events that you could participate in like going to the gym, gambling and burglary. The crimes you commit would earn you money and you could run errands like pizza delivery or being a taxi driver for a bit of extra cash. You could even get into debt with the mob, a very realistic thing actually, and most of what i just said was never possible in the next game they made, GTA 4, seems like a step backwards for R* and it really didn't help. The cars are very varied and have different purposes to each other. unlike in any other grand theft auto ever made, the trucks can pick up trailers and you can actually fly planes. There are company branded cars, sports car, sedans, trucks, fire trucks, ambulances and all kinds of weird and wonderful one off unique vehicles which you could customise in a garage. you could even fly remote controlled planes!! San Andreas was a huge leap forward by R* for the whole genre of open world games and it seems a shame that a series that once lead the breaking of barriers and boundaries for a platform has actually become just another name for it. GTA 4 which was released years later on an even better console had hardly anything of what i've just listed. Lets hope GTA 5 will have all the features of SA but the graphics, physics and style of GTA 4.
Your probably wondering why I'm writing a review on GTA San Andreas because I'm a women. Well my son is a massive fan of GTA games and I've played on them a few times with him aswell! Actually, when you start to play GTA it gets quite addictive at times and you don't want to stop playing, well fortunately my son's not like than and I'm not like that either but GTA especially San Andreas is great. Your in control of a gangster and criminal called CJ also known as Carl Johnson who lives in Los Santos. His mother was murdered by ? and CJ went away for a while but then he comes back and the story begins! At the start of the story, CJ is making his return to Los Santos where his family lives. But he soon comes into conflict with a bunch of corrupt neighborhood cops who frame him for homicide. Carl's family and friends are falling apart. His mission to keep his family friends together and to take full control of the streets takes him across the whole state of San Andreas! Throughout the game, you will be able to kill other gang members, takeover different hoods (gang territories), get a girlfriend and take her to different places you get to drive like an endless maniac on the road and you could go on a killing spree! GTA San Andreas was designed, created and produced by Rockstar Games and Rockstar North. The only problems with GTA San Andreas is that the graphics can be very poor which actually spoil the game. But I personally think that because of the way the characters, scenes, cars and surroundings are drawn stand out! Another problem would be that it can be quite violent in some ways and it can also be addictive and influencing towards young children because of it can contain drug use, sexual scenes, dangerous weapons and lots of other influential things! Otherwise, it's a brilliant game and definitely worth getting if you can obtain it! Where can I purchase this game from? You can purchase this amazing game from off the internet on Amazon and Ebay also for great prices! This game is definitely worth purchasing and playing because it takes you into a new world of gangsters and crime but in a game version instead of real life!
I remember when GTA-San Andreas was announced, having mixed emotions of anticipation yet a sinking feeling of fear that it would be a disappointment, just as I felt GTA- Vice City had been. However, those of you who have played this game, will know that, if you agree with me that is, I had no need to feel disappointed as this game was and still is in my opinion, 100% amazing and brilliant. I think that I would go as far as saying that this edition has to be included in the all time top 5 games for the Playstation platform, it doesnt matter how many times I play, I dont seem to become bored at all, which compared to Vice City again, it an improvement. It has everything the others have and much much more. When added together, it took me hours and hours of gameplay to complete it, and not just because the game is so huge, much bigger than GTA 3 or Vice City (in fact possibly both of them together), but because the missions are just that little harder, making it more interesting. I just to hate when I had to do a mission on the other games, and I found that I could do it with my eyes shut. With San Andreas, I found myself, not being able to do them in one go, but in fact having to have numerous attempts, and although frustrating at times, kept me playing hour after hour. Graphically, simply amazing. One feature to demonstrate this, is the addition of being able to gain a pilots license (or not if you use cheats), and flying a plane, not just a little plane but later in the game, a jumbo jet. The views from the cockpit are amazing of this fictional city, you have to play for you to understand what I am talking about. Also, in addition to having to go through the ranks of the criminal world, youalso have to go through and build up your characters own personal attributes and abilities, for example, strengh, weight and charisma. The story in the game is much more in depth than others, just like a movie, with you driving the plot. San Andreas is a game that will go down in history as setting the bench mark for being a truly amazing game, and although that benchmark has been raised with the release of game like Call of Duty, it will definitely be one of my all time favourite computer games. Thanks for reading.
Ripping the celophane off a game like this should be done with haste but consideration. Obviously you're familiar with the GTA franchise and if you're not then I suggest you familiarise yourself. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best the PS2 has ever offered us. San Andreas takes everything from the previous games and adds onto them with an amazing amount of detail, story and gameplay. The game itself HUGE (although if you REALLY want huge then buy skyrim). 3 cities, each could have been a game on its own but thankfully them rammed it all into one! I love the urban direction they went in, the radio stations and soundtrack are the best yet and has some brilliant old school classics (NWA anyone?). The story is wonderfully written and the animations are carried out perfectly. There are some extra elements that the developers have added to the series in the form of leveling up your abilities such as driving, shooting and fighting which is like that of an RPG, however it is very subtly done and works flawlessly with the rest of the game. There are no flaws in terms of story and gameplay that can be said about it. It is pure genius. The only downside to it is that due to the magnificant scale and amount of detail present within the game, the graphics are not upto par with that of other games that came out more or less at the same time, however this is such a minor flaw and really just representative of the limitations of the lowest common denominator of hardware..ie the PS2. Huge game with great gameplay BUY THIS GAME!!!
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an action-adventure game for the Playstation 2 released in 2004 by Rockstar Games. It is a non linear game, in that missions and challenges do not have to be completed in a certain order, and you have freedom to explore the GTA world. The game takes place in the fictional US state of San Andreas, which is modelled partly on both California and Nevada. You play the role of Carl "CJ" Johnson, who is returning home to San Adreas for his mother's funeral. To make ends meet he does jobs for his family and friends who are involved in a gang war with local gang the Ballas, corrupt police officers, and various gangsters. The more missions you complete, the more well known you become and you work your way up in the criminal underworld of San Andreas. The San Andreas environment is enormous, and the landscape ranges from the ghettos, affluent city areas, backwoods and the desert. It would take days to explore the entire area of the game. San Andreas is 13.9 miles in area, which is almost 4 times the size of Vice City, the location of the previous GTA game. A mildly annoying consequence of this is that when you travel to and from different areas occasionally you have to wait for it to load, but this is worth the sheer scale and amazing detail of the locations in the game. Aside from the missions, the list of things you can do in the game is endless. You can steal cars, buy weapons and go on a killing spree, steal helicopters and planes, get a parachute and skydive off buildings, go to the gym and work out. The list goes on. It is impossible to get bored of this game. There is a more recent addition to the GTA series - Grand Theft Auto 4 for the Playstation 3. Whilst GTA 4 surpasses San Andreas in terms of graphics (although they are by no means bad), it is fairly limited in terms of location as it is mostly just a city environment. San Andreas has much more variety of scenery, and I personally feel that the storyline is much better and some of the levels in San Andreas are much better than anything in GTA 4, particularly a level in which you chase a train on a motorbike, and another involving skydiving off of a dam. The controls are very easy to get to grips with, both the character controls and the driving controls are similar to many games, and the movement of your character is fluid and easy to control. One thing I found annoying was that to build up your stamina and strength so that you can run faster and fight better, you have to keep making CJ work out constantly which gets incredibly boring and repetitive. GTA 4 must have realised this was not entertaining so got rid of this feature. The game takes a very long time to complete, as there are a lot of missions to complete, and even when you have done them all there is plenty to keep you occupied. The game also features an excellent cast of voice actors, particularly Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Dyer and James Woods. A really entertaining game that will keep you occupied for hours at a time. The storyline is engrossing and the graphics and scenery are outstanding. Definitely better than GTA 4 in my opinion. If you have not played this game before I urge you to buy it - it can now be purchased on Amazon for £10.99 which is a very good price for what you get.
This game was brought out by Rockstar North, and like most GTA games, is rather controversial due to its violent and rude nature, hence this game has a certificate of 18+, so obviously, I would never recommend this game for younger kids. This game is great in the sense that you can play for fun - drive around, kill people, explore a variety of locations and be chased by the police and gangs, OR you can play the missions and beat levels until you finally complete the game. The benefits of this is that it makes the game have an unlimited time to play since there is so much to do, and so much to just explore without the hassles of going to luxury mansions to get back money, sell drugs, and so on. The game graphics are absolutely incredible. The characters all look very realistic, as do the cars and motorcycles. Admittedly, I think the buildings do need some more effort put into them as they look a bit tacky at times, but overall the graphics are impressive. The game also features a range of music, such as Jazz, country, rap, indie, and all this music can be heard by switching radio stations when riding in a car/taxi. What I love about this game: +Hours and hours of gameplay. +Such a variety of things to do, from serious missions, to building a gang network and taking over other gangs, boat races, car races, unlockable missions such as doing taxi fares, etc. +Great graphics and sound +Video - during missions, you often see a cinematic view of what is going on. ie) Characters telling others what to do. The acting is good and the scenes are realistic, albeit a bit too dramatic. +Ability to make you laugh, be scared, be determined to complete a mission - this game really gets you gripped! What I dislike about this game: -If I really had to choose something, it would be that the language can be very rude which is a little off putting, but I guess that is the nature of the game. I would definitely recommend this game if you are looking for hours of gameplay that will keep you gripped. I wouldn't recommend if you do not like violent games or ones with rude language. It can be bought very cheaply now - I have seen this game available for small prices such as £1!
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is a very good game, whilst it is an 18, I think it's appropiate for younger audiences too as there's nothing too rude you see in it. There is a lot of choice as to what you can do in the game, wheather you want to fly a plane, drive a car, cycle, swim, you can do virtually anything in this game with many different types of vehicles and many characters and locations to choose from. There are a few main cities which are Las Venturas, San Fiero and Los Santos. Each city has it's own airport where you can find different types of planes. Most of the vehicles ingame are based on vehicles that you would find in real life, however with different names and different looks. There are thousands of different modifications of every type for the game which can be installed with ease. It's by far the best Grand Theft Auto ever released in my opinion. There is also a multiplayer extension for this on the PC where you can get as much as 500 people playing at once!
New vehicles, including bicycles. Purchase property and build a criminal empire.
