Advantages: A massive game, loads of new features, great missions/story

Disadvantages: Graphics are a weak point again.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is the last game in Rockstar Games series for the Playstation 2 console.

This game stars a new protagonist Carl Johnson or CJ, he returns from Liberty City to find his Grove Street gang in ruins, CJ must rebuild his gangs reputation and restore their former glory. This game has a gangster vibe to it which is different from the mafia type feel the other two had which makes a nice change. The story is gripping and the characters as usual are brilliant over the top and awesome.

San Andreas goes with the philosophy that bigger is better so that is what the game offers you. You have the whole of the Los Santos state to play with which is far bigger than either Liberty or Vice City. The state packs in country towns and farms, Vegas like casinos, giant skyscrapers into its huge environment.

Your character CJ is now alot more customizable, you can pick his clothes from a variety of different shops and even take him to the gym and get him fit, or if that's not the look you want you can go down to the Cluckin Bell and have him eat till he is the size of a small boulder! You can now even get a girlfriend and take her on dates to keep her happy!

There are many more vehicles too, each cities police will have a different type of car, there are more bikes and the series adds in planes which you can parachute from including a fighter jet! Trains are available for you to highjack and drive. Car customization is also available, you can take any car into a garage and get custom bodykit and nitrous fitted.

The missions in the game have a really good feel to them and have more epic feel to them especially the big casino heist you pull. The living breathing world of Grand Theft Auto has never been as good as it is in this game.

The graphics are the games only weak area, they are still using the engine that powered GTA III but with some upgrades. Even so it really hasn't stood the test of time and the game is quite bland to look at.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is an absolutely massive game that you should not miss, don't let the graphics put you off!
