If you liked GTA3 then you'll love Vice City. The format is basically the same but the graphics are better the cars handle better and the tasks are different.

-Background-
Vice City is based in the 1980's - check out the clothes! Vice City has everything - beach, swamps, glitz and glamour and yes of course the pimps and prostitutes!

The basis of the game is that Tommy Vercetti has just got himself out of prison; he is sent to Vice City by his old boss Sonny Forelli. But guess what - all does not go quite to plan, as Tommy is set up and he loses everything. Sonny wants his money back, but of course may people stand in his way. The only way Tommy can see to ight back is to take over Vice City himself, hence the whole nature of the game!

-How to Get Around-
--By Car
Do you want a certain car? Well don't worry, steal it! But make sure you put your foot down once you're in the car because the owners do try to get their car back sometimes. What cars do you expect to see? Well theres the normal taxis and family cars that are slow and cumbersome, but you also see pickups, vans, lorries and rubbish lorries which are good for ramming people! There are the normal faster options, but there is also limos and hearses and even golf buggies - and I tell you something you'll have a hard job turning one of these over!

--MotorBikes
A welcome addition to Vice City are motorbikes - theres choppers, scramblers, mopeds and very fast bikes. These are great for getting around quickly, but be careful you can fall off them very easily and then the bike slides along the ground miles away - not good if you?re in pursuit of somebody.

--Boats
There are many boats to choose from, thses are speeders, cruisers and even dingys - take your pick but choose wisely - larger boats are slow and cumbersome!

--Walking
Of course you could always walk, but it is probably easier to steal a car. But its
worth running to build up your stamina - you are then able to run faster for longer.

-Weapons-
There are several weapons and this is just a pick of a few:
-Sniper Rifle: this is good for assassinating someone without them seeing you.
-Tear Gas: this will help you clear a room quickly.
-Ruger: this will fire bullets quickly and at high velocity - good for high capacity killing.
-Spas 12: a very powerful gun, which will take someone down very quickly.
Tec 9: popular with the Cuban drug barons - has a high rate of fire.
Uzi: this is easily hidden and is relatively cheap.
Rocket Launcher: if you want to create mass destruction, this is the one for you.
Brass Knuckles: if you want to beef up your fists these will do the job.
Python: a very powerful handgun - very dangerous.
Katana: you can even have a sword and slice someone in two.
Flame Thrower: you can have great fun watching prople burn to death in a ball of flames, but watch you don't set yourself alight - you can blow up cars with these too.

There are other weapons availabe, and one way to get some of them is that when you kill someone make sure you pick up any gun they might have.

-What Can You Do in Vice City?-
You can go to clubs like the Miami club but may end up owning it! You can also go to strip joints and you can even have a private dance if you want - funnily enough my boyfriend keeps going back to this one! You can go dirt biking, play golf or even go street racing!

-Where to get your equipment-
Ammu-Nation - go here to top up your ammo or even to purchase another gun, it may be worth picking up the body armour whilist your there.
Phil Cassisty - go here to get very unlawful weaponary.
Raphaels - a clothes store, you may need to look the part on certain jobs.

There is other help along the way but there is way too much to list.

-Radio Stations-
Did you get annoyed with GTA3'
;s soundtrack and radio stations, then don't despair the Radio Stations in Vice City are excellent, featuring real life artists, and I also recommend listening to some of the waffle as some of it is quite funny.

-General-
The main layout of the game is the same basic layout of GTA3 and the interface will be familiar. Vice City has much better graphics and if you have surround sound then I would definitely recommend using it.

Walking and looking around takes a bit of getting used to but, its one of the things you get used to. Be warned about this game you will get hooked and you won't want to put it down.

VERDICT
A highly addictive game and is a definite step up from GTA3 althought the interface will be famililar. This is A GREAT GAME!
