The anticipated Great battles of Rome game turned out to be a complete failure when it hit the shelves. A lot of people were hoping to be able to control one soldier and do your bit to win the battle, but no you just tell your soldiers what to do before the battle then just watch them get on with it. Thankfully I got mine on a £10 offer which meant I didn't lose much but when it was first released it was at a ridiculous £30 which was basically taking peoples money and giving nothing back in return. However there were a good a range of historic battles starting with fights with farmers. Working your way up to fighting well equipped armies. If you want a game about Rome that's more exciting, Shadow of Rome might be the better option. An extremely poor game. Do not buy unless you like hardcore strategy games. 40%
