As an avid guitar player when I first heard about Guitar Hero, I spent 2 hours in the shop playing on it, back when the first one came out I didn't have much money so couldn't afford it. When I was searching on EBay in August, I saw Guitar Hero 2 for a pretty good price; the only problem was it didn't come with the guitar. So here I am, reviewing the GAME not the guitar, I'll add more about the guitar when I finally get it for Christmas. PACKAGING You get a normal PS2 case with the disk and instruction manual in. This is the folowup to the fantastic Guitar Hero game, recapturing the fun from the first game , not a lot has changed. But is that nessesarly a bad thing? Not for me, for this although may seem like a simple update, they have made the game slicker, quicker to load and gave the presentation a bit of an overhaul. It sticks with the formula that you start you're career playing small town gigs and playing relativley easy songs, before you move onwards and upwards by playing clubs, halls and eventually concerts, showcasing the best and most difficult songs to play. With a setlist as stunning as this you can't go wrong. From Nirvana's "Heart Shaped ...
Products similar to Guitar Hero II (PS2)
Superman Returns (PS2)
Good flight model, full city modeled.
Boring, repetative gameplay with limited and short story line
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (PS2)
Improved Konquest mode, kreate-a-character mode is fun, a hell of a lot of characters and modes.
Gameplay needs to evolve, the graphics, though tecnically proficent, are dated.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail (PS2)
Undemanding fun, well-designed, technically sound, long and rewarding
Unoriginal, perhaps slightly too easy, the odd frustrating mini-game
Open Season (PS2)
boog can gain a lot of good skills and weapons
once you have the skills and weapons the game is almost over and do not get to try them out
