Advantages: Great addition of bonus eyetoy mode

Disadvantages: No free-roam of castle, linear gameplay

This game is a bit of a mixed bag and quite different to other harry potter games. As should be obvious the game accompanies the harry potter book by the same title (or perhaps more specifically the film, because the characters in the game are based on the actors in the film series).

The one player mode on this harry potter game is different to other harry potter games because it is mission based. This unfortunately means that you do not have free roam around the Hogwarts castle and I think that this really lets the game down. The addition of two or three players does help to counter act this however and this is accompanied by a somewhat better system for spells. The new system of spells involves choosing whether you want to cast a charm or an attack. It also allows you to do combined spells with other players.

Finally there is a fantastic addition to this game in the form of eyetoy (where you use a camera to track your movements on screen) minigames. These are separate to the main game and just for a laugh, but they really do extend the length and enjoyment of the game.

Summary: Not as good as one or two of the others but worth it if you have an eyetoy camera
