Advantages: Great graphics, gameplay and minigames

Disadvantages: One player only

This game is the most recent outing of harry potter on the video game market and is certainly a good one. The game shares its plot with that of the fifth harry potter book and manages to turn it into a surprisingly workable video game plot.

When first playing this game the first thing that you notice is that the graphics have received a huge boost and everything now looks really smooth. The next thing that is immediately apparent is that the spell system has had yet another change and this time it is really good. You can cast any spell you want at any time of your choice. Doing this involves making a movement particular to each spell using one of the analogue sticks. This really gives the game a more feeling of far more control.

Asides from this, the game is pretty similar to other games, most importantly it does now let you free roam the Hogwarts castle again. They have included a few minigames which are pretty decent (chess and skittles). Finally they have included the Marauders' map which is a good addition and helps you get around the castle.

Summary: Great Harry Potter outing
