Advantages: Fast paced, replicates the magical sport well, some cool team moves

Disadvantages: You cant play a dedicated position.

Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup is a sports game for the Playstation 2.

Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup lets you relive the magical sport of Quidditch, if you are unfamiliar with the world of Harry Potter you will need to learn about this sport, on a team there are three chasers, who are the basic goal scorers on the team, beaters who hit bludgers toward the opposing team to knock them off their brooms, the keeper who stops the chasers scoring and the seeker who looks for the golden snitch which is worth 150 points and can often clinch the match for you.

The action is rather strange, rather than pick a dedicated position to play as the game forces you to manage the whole team. You mainly control the chasers and pass the ball between each other and score goals against the opposing team and it's basically just an airborne version of football.

As you play the snitch meter of each team gradually rises and when they meet the game will let you take control of the seeker as the golden snitch is released, now depending on how well your team did you will get a certain amount of turbo boost to use which will really help you catch the snitch.

The game also lets you do some team super moves which you can activate once you build up your combo meter and this basically lets you get an easy goal, you don't do anything but watch and some of the team moves are really impressive with the whole team performing acrobatic stunts to get the quaffle in the goal.

The graphics are decent but the game looks very similar to the flying sections in the Harry Potter games with the exception of a lot more Quidditch pitches to choose from.

It's actually a rather unique and fun sport and if you are a Potter fan you will enjoy being able to accurately play the magical game.

Summary: A magical sports title
