High Heat Baseball 2002 for the PlayStation 2 is one of the 10 best-playing baseball games of all time. Yes, that's a bold statement, and if you've seen screenshots of the game, you may be inclined to think that I've gone insane. It may be hard to believe, but underneath the game's relatively poor graphics, glitchy sound, and general lack of extras, the game of baseball of definitely the thing-- and High Heat Baseball 2002 executes it better than any other baseball game since the NES era. I have found this baseball game to be very enjoyable both in single player and multi-player modes. As a Brit I am not naturally drawn to baseball sims - I'm usually strictly a Pro Evo man, although I have been known to dabble in cricket management - but after reading "Moneyball" I was keen to learn more about the sport. Although made in 2002, only diehard fans will know the roster changes so the fact the game is dated is not important to a big chunk of the people likely to be buying it. If you are one of those people who can't get enough baseball and is obsessed with american sports then get this. Once again acclaim have brought out the best by far baseball games. Combined with the ps2's amazing graphics and sound this makes this everything it is, and that is this is a superb game. Even if you aren't too keen on the sport you will probably find this game enjoyable even though it is meant for the real baseball fans. The game includes all 30 major league baseball teams and over 700 real players. The game is fun and if you do like the sport you are bound to like the game as it is the best around for now!!! ...
