Although made in 2002, only diehard fans will know the roster changes so the fact the game is dated is not important to a big chunk of the people likely to be buying it.
The game interface is very, very simple to pick up and quite tricky to master; a balance which I have always found is perfect for sports games. I have found this baseball game to be very enjoyable both in single player and multi-player modes. As a Brit I am not naturally drawn to baseball sims - I'm usually strictly a Pro Evo man, although I have been known to dabble in cricket management - but after reading "Moneyball" I was keen to learn more about the sport.
