... experince in the astin martin and even on a snowmobile. the game is full of fun things to do. The best part of the game however for me was the multiplayer. With some friends over not only was it fun to kill each other as you run around many levels, but you could also have computer controlled bots which were fun to play alongside. so you could have an 5 on 1 deathmatch and you could also play all vs all. The game was best because the bots, it meant you can play the deathmatches even on your own against the computer contr...more

Premium Review James Bond 007: NightFire (PS2): The names Bland, James Bland, but I'm rather addictive (1114 words)

Whilst looking on a site for the immortal N64 game Goldeneye, and sadly failing to find it (incredibly surprisingly actually, and quite shockingly) I saw this version of Nightfire which reminded me of years gone by. Sitting on the living room of my grandparents this used to be the game that took Saturday night into Sunday morning for much of the 00's (that's as in 2000's not 007's) as me and the wise old one would go mano-a-mano to determine who was the "world champion" that weekend (we had little else to do). Sadly no prize of a Golden Gun or a hot bikini clad babe was ever offered to the champion, just bragging rights until the following ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Brilliant shooter for Bond fans. (357 words)

James Bond 007: NightFire is a first-person shooter foor the PlayStation 2. I bought it because I was hoping it would be like the old N64 game "GoldenEye". I wasn't disappointed... When you first turn on the game you do a tutorial mission in which you have to save Dominique by first shooting a sniper rifle out of a helicopter and then by car. It is a good introduction to the game and helps you learn the basic controls. You are then shown the main menu, where you can pick what mode you want to play: The Missions or Multiplayer. There are twelve missions in all, as you play as Bond trying to take down the evil villain Drake. One thing I like ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review James Bond 007: NightFire (PS2): Bond.. James Bond! (349 words)
by - written on 17/08/09 (Very useful, 8 readings)
Rating:

James Bond Nightfire is a shooter for the Playstation 2 developed by EA games. The story is the typical Bond craziness and this time it has a super evil Phoenix corporation with Raphael Drake as the super villain at the centre of it creating all kinds of secret bases and lairs as he tries to gain power by taking over the US space defence grid. As James you will have to thwart him at every turn and of course no James Bond game is complete without some Bond girls who may or may not double cross you! The gameplay is usually a shooter as you take control of James Bond himself who is actually modelled after Pierce Brosnan who was the current Bond at the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review James Bond features in Nightfire on the PS2. (285 words)

I originally got this game as a present and so I really didn't know what to expect, especially as I have never played on a Bond game before! The game itself is a first person shooter and it really is a fantastic game that is great fun to play on. It is based on the novel by Ian Flemming and I really think it is produced very well. What I liked most about the game was how good the gameplay in general was. James Bond as a character is very easy to control and it is really good when in action scenes to have easy to use controls. I found the overall weapon selection to also be excellent and it definately kept me well entertained throughout the missions! The game ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review James Bond 007: NightFire (PS2): Just be carefull you don't do an all nighter (262 words)

This is bond through and through and one of the best games made for the ps2. The single player is what you would expect really, a good number of missions, cool guns and gadgets (such as crossbow and rappel) and one or two missions involving vehicles just to mix it up. It's nothing particularly special but good fun to play through once or twice. It is actually the multiplayer in which this game excels, and excel it certainly does. There are a huge number of game modes (everything from death match to industrial espionage where both teams compete to retrieve the sae blueprints and get them back to their base) and a good variety of weapon sets. Also the maps ...  Read the complete review
