I had James Pond for the Sega yeeeeeeears ago but when that went to console heaven I forgot all about the game even though I loved it and played every day. Last month though I was at a car boot sale and I saw the game on PS2 and the bloke was only charging 2 quid for it so I grabbed it. In James Pond you play as Robocod, a secret agent fish who is given lots of puzzles to solve. It's a platform game and you run around catching elves to get to the next level, this isn't as hard as it sounds as the elves are stationary and holding sticks of dynamite so you can't miss them! One of those retro games that I was totally addicted to as a child on the Commodore 64. Despite it taking eons of time to actually load a game, this was one that I could play without the realisation of where the time went. When I found out it was going to be released on PS2, I had to have it! I was not disappointed! It had the same retro feel to it - the music had not been altered. You play as James Pond, a walking fish, dressed in armour (like Robocop) who has to solve puzzles in order to defeat his arch enemy, Dr Maybe.
