This is a review about the RPG game Kingdom Hearts, there are many things you can do on this game, it is made by the same creators of the Final Fantasy’s which are Square-Enix. The game is very good, it has many battles that need to be won, you need to find your friends which get taken to different worlds when ‘The Darkness’ comes onto Destiny Island (the island your first on), and scatter them across the worlds.

You first after the whole Darkness taking over, you go to this world which is called Traverse Town, where you find Donald Duck and Goofy to help you. You also find some other people like Leon (Squall from FFVIII) and Yuffie (from FFVII/FFIX). At the end of each world, you know when you have done it is when you have defeated the Darkness boss, which is normally a massive monster, that wishes to stamp on you.

There are many other islands that you can go to, like you can go to Olympus, where you will find Phil and Hercules. You enter a tournament here, and you find Buster Cloud (from FFVII), he looks well cool in this game. You fight Darkness to level up your team, you can only have a maximum of 3 people in your team out on the field with you at once, but you can have as many people as you can in the area. You can also go to Tarzan’s Jungle, and help them with their problems, in chance of might be of finding Kari or Riku (your friends that you loose at destiny island).

The battle system in this game is much different to Final Fantasy, as you don’t go into a battle form you just go around and fight, like in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. It is very good, unlike in the Final Fantasy’s, you can only see the main character when you’re walking around, but in this game, you see them all the time. When you go to world to world, you go by means of transport called the Gummi Ship, which enables you to get world to world. You also when you go to a different world, you control the Gummi Ship, and have to destroy and get around the obstacles so you can arrive at your destination.

Donald Duck and Goofy are only wandering around, because their King Mickey was taken, by the Darkness, and they are trying to find him, and they hope that you, Sora, can help them find him. So you are all trying to find someone, but where will you find them? The more worlds you save, the more worlds will be unlocked to you, and further in the game, you will get this teleporter, so you don’t need to go through all the Gummi Ship stuff, well you can I think if you wish too.

All the characters have their own special abilities, like you, you have a Key weapon, which is like this ultimate weapon that can only be held by ‘The One’ and it is a very powerful weapon to be used against the enemy. Donald is a wizard, and he has a magic staff, and all he does is perform magic on the enemies, which is good if he has someone to cover him, so the enemies can’t get close enough to defeat him in battle. Goofy has a shield, that he rams it into his enemies to bring great pain to them. It is useful as his attack, don’t do much, but he is always stocked with potions when you get him at first.

All the worlds you can go to, it’s all interactive, with battles in back alleys and stuff like that, you can talk to anyone really, and they can give you hints, or just common knowledge. It is all in a 3D world, where you will see it all like it is real, which makes the game more enjoyable and looking much more nice. There are many worlds, which have different things that you need to do, and as always you know you will not find your friends until the last world you go to, which is just like these, type of games.

This game is very enjoyable, I found it very fun, with all the decent battles, all the bosses you have to face, the many different allies, and abilities you can learn, which has made this game very good. The playability of the game is great, with all the moving place to place, talking to people, getting hints, and the usual buying items and weapons from the local Item and Weapon shops, which makes you want to get more and more Money.

The game is very addictive, like all Square-Enix games are, they make your interests go bonkers. You will find this fantastic with all its CGI films, and all the great battles you will be in. The game is very original it is not similar to the Final Fantasy’s as it has its own battle system, a completely new storyline for you to enjoy yourself in, and many different items and worlds for you to go to. The graphics of the game are superb you will love the game just for its graphics, let alone the great game. The graphics are so smooth, and makes it all seam real, like Square-Enix always do.

There are not many voices in the game, but you get to talk to the main people in the game, like in Final Fantasy X, you can’t voice talk to anyone, unless they are important. The music of the game is great as usual, its great music to my ears, I could listen to this all the time, that’s why I got MP3’s and Midis from the internet, by searching for them. The sound effects are great with all the slashing, and all the pushing, and shoving, and walking noises, its like a dream come true.

The game is quite difficult, you will need to know what you are doing, and have a strategy for many battles of what you are about to come up against, you need to know how to play the game, and everything like that. The controls are easy to use, so that’s nothing hard, it’s just the gameplay can be, as most games are hard to play, as most of them are RPG’s. This game is only £15 - £20 now, and it is worth buying, I have not bought this game myself, as I have borrowed the game of my friend. It is really worth getting, that’s why I recommend anyone to get this game, to enjoy themselves in hardcore gaming. After playing this game, I thought to myself, will their ever be a sequel, and I looked on the internet, and it is, cant wait, so I give this game a 4 star, as it is not the best game I have played, but it has nearly made it.
