... self implode button! Much of this great gameplay was carried over onto the PS2 version of the game. the basis was the same, you had to get the lemmings to the exit anyway possible. obviously the graphics were dramaticly improved and you could zoom closer and fruther out than ever before. Some puzzles were just too hard for me though, but I could just skip them, even if I did feel a bit ashamed! There is also the other touch of the eye toy being used in it! This sounded amazing and made me buy the game, but it fail...more

Crowned Review Lemmings (PS2): No, its not a bogie on legs. Its a Lemming! (1386 words)

Lemmings – The all time classic. Starting up in 1991 and originally containing 120 levels, Lemmings was – and still is one of the most popular and recognised games! I remember playing this on my PC when I was a wee annoying child, I used to get so frustrated but at the same time was fascinated with the little bogies (that’s what I thought they where) with legs. You can now get it on many different machines including the PSP, PS2, PC and even your mobile phone! - -Storyline- - For some reason – which is never explained – you are promoted to God. Your job you ask oh wise one? Keep the population as high as possible. Your minions, after a hard day’s work ...  Read the complete review

Do Lemmings like cliffs? Sod that - do Cliffs like Lemmings? That's what I want to know. To this end, I've spent some of Sunday afternoon perched on my bed, laptop resting on my knee, Googling various strings along the lines of "Lemmings review author Cliff" and "Lemmings by Cliff" and "Sodding BY Cliff not GETTING OFF". Sadly I haven't found what I'm looking for, but I did find some fascinatingly dyslexic fan-fiction modulating between Lemming house sales and geologically informative pornography. I also happened upon a surprisingly large number of reviews of the old-days versions for PC, Amiga, Spectrum and the like. And sadly, despite the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lemmings (PS2): Oh yes, more lemmngs (252 words)

Nostalgia and retro time again with everyone's favourite little suicide machines. I remember my friend John getting this for the Amiga back in the day. Simple in it's design this little strategy/puzzle game. I was pretty excited when I got a hold of this because I wasn't sure what the PS2 could do for it. I always liked the Worms games and they'd been cut from the same cloth. On with Lemmings for PS2: The point of the game is to save little tribes of Lemmings from getting their suicide wish come true. Morbid as it sounds it's actually quite a fun and challenging game as you have to dig, build bridges, destroy parts of the environment and all host of other ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bring on the lemmings (250 words)

If you haven't heard of lemming you have to have been living under a rock for the last 20 years. Lemmings was one of the first games made for the computer and has sparked the release of this new remake for the PS2. Theres no doubt that the nostalgic element has helped sales, but none the less it has earnt its legendary status. No-one truly know's what it is about leading a bunch of green haired creatures to safety over cliffs, water and dangerous objects that made this game so highly addictive, but it certainly is a good game. You get given a team of lemmings placed on a 2 dimensional, and given the task of leadng them to safety over different ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lemmings (PS2): Follow the leader (294 words)

I have always had fond memories of Lemmings from my early game playing days trying to get those loveable lines of little guys across a range of obstacles and having to occasionally sacrifice one for the greater good as they exploded like a little suicide bomber to break through a barrier. So I was quite pleased to hear that I could now get an updated version for my PS2. The objective of the game has not changed, your task is to get the lemmings from the starting point to the end point, this must be achieved without losing more than a certain percentage of the little guys and you can assign different qualities to your Lemmings as you play along to enable them ...  Read the complete review
