Advantages: Fun challenging little puzzler

Disadvantages: A bit difficult for some

Nostalgia and retro time again with everyone's favourite little suicide machines. I remember my friend John getting this for the Amiga back in the day. Simple in it's design this little strategy/puzzle game. I was pretty excited when I got a hold of this because I wasn't sure what the PS2 could do for it. I always liked the Worms games and they'd been cut from the same cloth. On with Lemmings for PS2:

The point of the game is to save little tribes of Lemmings from getting their suicide wish come true. Morbid as it sounds it's actually quite a fun and challenging game as you have to dig, build bridges, destroy parts of the environment and all host of other things to try and save them.

The graphics are pretty good, nothing immense but they're pretty inoffensive and for the type of game it is they didn't need to put too much effort in to them. The sound is ok too, with random little tunes playing in the background while you play.

Game play is hard to call, as it's not you're usual type of game it's more of an interface you use but it works fine, however long time fans will be longing to use a mouse for the most part.

All in I enjoyed this game, it gave me a little retro kick and provided some good entertainment too, not too self-involved, Id highly recommend giving Lemmings a chance.

Summary: This is a good game thats excellent when you want something different.
