I have only just recently got into playing NFL games, the craze with me started off with Madden for the PSP and then stemmed onto challenging friends on their PS3 consoles playing Madden 09. Personally i feel that the 07 version for PS2 has far better gameplay than on 09 however the graphics are no way near as good quality, and the database of plays is easier to use and control in 07.

It took me a while to get even relatively good at this games, once you know how to change plays before the hike and knock defenders away with the right analogue stick, and mix up the hot routes etc thats when the game really comes alive.

Not exactly a complicated game, i think its one you have to play exibitions against friends personally purely because the superstar and franchise modes leave a lot to be desired and you me get boring very quickly, despite these problems i do love this game, great for if your just chillin out with mates having a lads night in.
