Madden 2006 is one of my favourite PS2 games. The gameplay is very addictive for fans of American football, whilst providing excellent tutorials (delivered by John Madden himself) for those who know little about the game. The Franchise mode is fairly similar to the regular season mode, requiring you to manage the finances as well as playing the game but is still a welcome addition to the game. I have found that the Superstar mode is one that becomes a little repetitive as it requires you to complete practice sessions on a daily basis throughout the season to progress your players skills. For many years the John Madden football brand has been the dominant force in American Football games. It's always been the number one for NFL fans even though a few other rivals have come down the line over time but none could knock the king of it's throne. So what does NFL 2006 for the Playstation 2 offer? Much more of the same great things as previous editions is thankfully the answer. Like every successful sports franchise game each year sees a new version of the game being launched with all o the top players from the season and often some little extra feature to make people go out and upgrade to the new version. The 2006 of Madden has provided an improvement to the passing aspect of the game and it is a great addition which does mark a big improvement in my opinion. For those not familiar with American Football the objective is to score a touchdown. This is achieved similar to a try in rugby however the ball only has to be carried or caught in the end zone rather than actually touched down. his can be achieved by either passing ...
