Mafia for the Playstation 2 follows the story of Mafia man Tommy Angelo. Tommy walks into a local restaurant and begins talking with Norman a detective. Tommy Informs Norman that he has some much-needed information on the Salieri crime family. The information can be given only on one condition; Norman must agree to protect the Angelo family. Thus begins the story and game. Tommy originally was a taxi driver working from dusk till Dawn in the city of Lost Heaven. ~ ~ Picture the mad cabbie, frantically scouring the gaming section of the local video shop for a good PS2 game for Christmas for the young lass, and knowing that whatever he buys it’s going to have a very hard job displacing “Vice City – San Andreas” in her affections. A difficult (if not impossible!) and certainly thankless task, and then I happen across a game entitled “Mafia”. A quick glance at the blurb on the box reveals that it looks interesting.
