Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (PS2)

Once again Activision and Marvel capitalize on the success of the X-Men Legends franchise and this time launched an even bigger project which in the end falls short of what I had expected. It is available for PS2, PSP, XBOX, and Wii. This time heroes from all across the Marvel universe assemble to take on the Masters of Evil, a huge group of supervillains led by Dr. Doom. I grew up watching the cartoons on the Marvel characters - Spiderman, Fantastic 4, Ironman, Captain America, X-Men - so I was delighted to hear that they were all included in a game. Running on the X-Men Legends engine it is much, much more fun multiplayer than single player. The reason for this is because the levels get quite repetative after a while, but also because the AI of your allies is so poor. A PG that you can probably pick up for around £15 now, this is an absolute bargain.
