Advantages: Cool game
Disadvantages: MDK2 spruced up
I am a big fan of MDK and MKD2 so the natural next step was to get MDK Armageddon, right? wel yeah if it were any different from MDK2. It has exactly the same starting credits, FMV's game intro's characters and loading screens. The main characters, the weapons, the plot and the controls are all the same, with only minimal changes to the enemies (a small flap on their heads) You have to go through 5 mins of gameplay before you notice any difference from MDK2, and even then it's only an airpad pushing you upwards. I have to say I am very dissapointed as I was looking forewards to playing a new game, not the old one I'd already completed (several times), and after reading the box I found no mention that this was just an updated version of MDK2. When purchasing it I asked the store clerk if it was any good and he said 'honestly no it's a bit crap', but being a fan I bought it anyway. Should have realised something was amiss when I found it in the budget section. Don't get me wrong it is an excellent game and I would reccommend it to anyone, but if you've already plyed MDK2 you may aswell give this one a miss.
