I was very skeptical that Medal of Honour: Frontline would be any good, given how it was a console port of a very, very good PC FPS game (Medal of Honour: Allied Assault), and would of course not include the amazing online play that the PC delivered. Sadly, I'm mostly right, but I just borrowed the game, so didn't have the displeasure of shelling out money for an inferior game. I will admit that, for a console game, the graphics are rather impressive, and it does a fair job at rivalling what you'd see on the PC. The models of the weapons and terrains, particularly that famous Omaha Beach level, are very well recreated, and the animations of the combat are ... Read the complete review

Medal of Honour Frontline is a shooter from EA games for the Playstation 2 console. In this game you play as a US soldier James Patterson, you journey through the epic conflict of WW2 starting from the D-Day landings and hopefully turning the tide of war. Your squad mates that sometimes accompany you do have some lines of dialogue but it's hard to care as they are usually all killed off anyway! The gameplay in Medal of Honor Frontline is what started the trend in most shooters, you have a compass on the screen which points to your objective. You basically follow this to the objective and destroy any enemy soldiers that happen to get in your way. ... Read the complete review

This game was and still is the best game ever brought out on the playstation two. It is a brillant game with a traffic story. Well you are a team leader of a squad in world war two. You have to reach targets as a squad and all the weight is on your shoulders. It takes your threw actually events and tasks and objectives that happened in world war two. Which I found terrefic because it was like playing a game that you learned in history classes and you can be a part of it via playstation. The graphics is brillant it is totally amazing and I just can not belive the graphics every detail from right down to people being riddled under water trying to get ... Read the complete review

Now although I believe first person shooters to be better on the PC than on consoles I have to say that this game really blew me away. The game involves you being in charge of a squad you could say in WW2. You must make your way through the levels achieving the goals set out in each and at the same time protecting your crew and not getting yourself killed. There are a range of weapons for use in the game all dating back to the war. You have a few different guns, grenades etc. You do not have unlimited ammo and the ammo you do get isn't great so you have to be strategic through the whole game, something I love. The graphics aren't too bad ... Read the complete review

Advertising games on television remains a risky business for many publishers due to the costs, which means that despite the rise in the popularity of gaming in recent years, the luxury is generally limited to the biggest money-spinning franchises such as the FIFA's and Grand Theft Auto's, though there were a small handful of others in the early part of the decade that captured the imagination somewhat. Gran Turismo 3 produced a collective 'wow' from gamers as it showed off its lovely, shiny graphics, whilst Medal Of Honor: Frontline was rather more striking; it simply depicted its opening level, whereby the player gets to experience the Normandy beach landings in gaming ...
