When the original Medal Of Honor burst onto the scene in 1999, it became the mother of all 'sleeper' hits. Not only was it enjoyable, atmospheric and brilliantly designed, it represented one of a very select number of FPS games to have worked effectively on the PlayStation format. With MOH selling well and EA pulling the strings, it was perhaps no great surprise to see the series output upped for the PS2 - four entries having appeared on the console. When Frontline debuted in 2002, it proved an unlikely success - it was no longer unique amongst its peers in that there were many competent FPS challengers capitalising on the new hardware, but with the memorable ... Electronic Arts must have reached the point by now where they feel that all they need to do to make a game a success is to stick the words "Medal of Honor" on the front cover. The Medal of Honor (MoH) series has been on the go for a number of years, and has produced a series of mostly successful World War 2 themed shooters across a variety of platforms, including one of my favourite PS2 games, Medal of Honor Frontline. It was the great enjoyment that I got from Frontline that has been encouraging me to try out other games in the series in the hope of finding something that catches my imagination as much. This particular instalment, Rising Sun, released in late ... Read the complete review

I had never tried a Medal of Honor game before this and was persuaded to buy it after hearing so many great things about it. There were some things that really did impress me about this game that made me think less about the Call fo Duty series! The game itself is a action, shooter game and I thought that the graphics were actually very good. The graphics I felt really enriched the whole gaming experience and made it much more enjoyable to play. I really did love the multiplayer feature in the game where you can either do 2 player co-op which is great fun with you friends or play in 4 player combat. The single player I really did think was excellent and it ... Read the complete review

Medal of Honour-Rising Sun, a tricky sequal to the tremendously successful, er, Medal of Honour. A difficult act to follow, but it is easy to see why the moniker was so similar considering the incredibly successful original game was for every wannabe boy soldier definitively the next item on the wish list after persuading pestered mothers in to buying what is the greatest recent development in contraception, the glorious invention that is the Playstation/ps2. So how does it compare to the original? Well it is a well structured game with more levels, more weapons and in general more killing, which is in reality what we stump up our cash for isn't it?. The slick ... Read the complete review

I love medal of honour well I though I did until I got medal of honour rising sun. Now do not get me wrong the game is good and it is still a fair follow up from frontline. The thing that annoyed me was that frontline was amazing and rising sun was so hyped up it was released then for forty four nitey nine. It was to be even better than frontline. I feel the game was rushed just to make a big cash in as it was out not longer after frontline. It still has great game play and a great story. I just find frontline was more challenging. Rising sun is a great war or action game shall you say. In my opinion rising sun would be the fourth best game for the ... Read the complete review
