Advantages: It's differernt and can be fun

Disadvantages: Sluggish and wears thin quickly

From Rainbow Studios comes the latest offroad racing effort known as MX vs ATV Untamed. I'm a big racing game fan and i've always had a soft spot for ATV offroad racers. In fact super offroad 4x4 for the SuperNes was on of the most addictive games i've ever played.

So whats this got to offer? Well the firstly the graphics are pretty nice, if you're looking for Gran Turismo level of detail then think again though, as the cars and little ATVs are pretty basic and simple. But for what they are they're pretty good.

The gameplay is fast but a little sluggish, it's clear they've tried to make it seem very authentic but in doing so they've really lost the fun factor that you should feel with this type of racing game.

Theres a few different modes to play to keep you interested with the latest innovation "X-Cross Tournament" where you pick vehicles from all types of Offroad racing and put them all into one big championship.

It's a simple racing game, but it has it's flaws. Id say it's worth a rent before you decide to buy but if ATV's are your thing then i'm not sure theres much else out there to top this title.

Summary: An average racer that may only appeal to ATV fans
