Nascar 2001 (PS2)

First off, the cars in the game all look amazing! They look so smooth and detailed that it's hard to describe them besides the fact that they look like FMV's on the original Playstation's games. Jawdropping! The animation is incredibly fluid, and goes by at a very fast framerate, and looks very realistic. Unfortunately, when damage to cars occurs, things don't look nearly as realistic as they should be. And the tracks just don't look very attractive, and don't look nearly as good as the cars. Nascar racing is like ying and yang. People either love it or hate it. Personally watching cars go in circles doesn't do it for me. This game however does. Actually getting behind the wheel makes all the difference. If you are playing by yourself and want to get the entire Nascar experience then you can go for the hours long full length race. Pit stops, yellow flags, the whole shabang. Two player is where it's at though. Being the non-fan that I am I skeptically picked up the controller. Then things got interesting.
