Need for speed carbon is completely different then it's pre-ancestors but also very similar, how can this be, many races are the same so is the amount of customization available but many races have been made differently and many has been added. In carbon EA has added the famous cop chases again which is fun but at the same time a real pain. Like Underground 2 the city is open for you to explore but this time you no longer have to drive to your destination you get the option. In carbon the city is divided in 4 zones with many different sectors which are yours for the taking. Every sector you take over a cool performance or visual upgrade is unlocked. ... Need for Speed carbon is probably one of my favourite racing games of all time. just like Need for Speed 2 it is a open racer game however when racing side roads will be blocked. Their are plenty plenty of cars to chose from and hundreds of more customizing parts. The career play is fun and entertaining however playing to long will make the game boring. The game features loads and loads of different types of racing. I really liked the way the racing worked, the drift style handling of cars really made it easy to make corners at high speeds. The featured music is greatly chosen and really goes well with the game. I'm normally not in to racing ... Read the complete review

Well with all the racing games coming down the pipeline in the past ten years you really have to bring something to the table to become a contender for the best. Does Need for Speed Carbon do that? Well not really, but what it does deliver is a very solid impressive racer that anyone who likes a racing game will like. With tons of cars to choose from and an excellent array of tracks and wonderfully rendered environments, Carbon gives what you'd want from a racing game. It's not got the depth and detail that the likes of Gran Turismo gives, where you really have to give up part of your life to play and get good at. Need For Speed is much more of a fun game to ... Well i always wondered how EA would build on the amazin NFS most wanted. And now it seems that wonder can be replaced with dissapointment. Well while the game is ok, it feels that they have taken a step back, and that it lies as a step between the underground series and most wanted. The most frustrating thing is, they seem to have found what worked best in most wanted and taken it out! The police chases no longer feel quite right. And worse, there not required anymore. You could quite easily complete the career mode with only 1 or 2 chases under you belt. Dont get me wrong, if you never played previous NFS games, then this is definatly a 10/10 game. Just for those like ... Read the complete review
