Advantages: Great racing game

Disadvantages: Not much depth

Well with all the racing games coming down the pipeline in the past ten years you really have to bring something to the table to become a contender for the best. Does Need for Speed Carbon do that? Well not really, but what it does deliver is a very solid impressive racer that anyone who likes a racing game will like.

With tons of cars to choose from and an excellent array of tracks and wonderfully rendered environments, Carbon gives what you'd want from a racing game. It's not got the depth and detail that the likes of Gran Turismo gives, where you really have to give up part of your life to play and get good at. Need For Speed is much more of a fun game to just throw on when you want a quick race.

The graphics are very nice to look at, shiny and smooth the developers have really went to town on it and I was very impressed with the visuals. The soundtrack is also pretty cool and very apt to the type of game and speed of the races. You can customize your cars to an amazing degree and motor fans will love playing around with that.

The police chases and battle are fun although playing through the game you can't help but feel they don't happen enough but there is enough challenge in this game for you to enjoy.

Id recommend this to anyone wanting an enjoyable racing game at a budget price as it is a lot of fun
