Need for Speed: MW following the NFS generation of racing games. I first saw this game on late night telly 'Cybernet' and after watching the review i wasnt that impressed/ fort what the hell is all the fuss about, the graphics looked poor and manga styled on TV .. the show actually loved it to bits ... about year later the price come down & i managed to get hold bargain bin copy for half the price! g8 deal. The cover has a BMW M3 metalic silver with double blue go-faster strips.. Tasty.

Bit anxious cos even then i fort it was over hyped; placed it in and the usual EA logo appears, u enter the game and bang i was impressed with the story which u played the lead character driving the cover BMW which has meaty reved up sound .. the problem starts with u losing fuel/speed in the first race because your car has been tampered. Your opponent laughing cos now you have lost your prized car via the pink-slip option; if u win later race bosses you get cars added to your garage, thats only if you pick the winning p-slip option, otherwise you get cash, boosters, modifications or get outta jail tickets! But nothing beats win prized cars.

So u start off with small amount cash enough to buy a standard Fiat (nippy, fast acceleration, but doesnt have great top speed) or Salon (which is heavier thus slow acceleration, better top speed, rams cars better).

I opted for the cheap & cheerful Fiat first time round ... in your first race u get normal timer countdown, u rev up ur car and if u time the start right u get 2 pull ahead; get the moment wrong & u lose vital seconds. The rule is simple win race via circuit laps, one-on-one, sprints, drag racing. If you do so u get hard earned cash to modify your car from paint jobs, body work, tyres, better engine more turbo, and even purchase more cars for ur garage .. as you move along in the game the cars get better to meaty mustangs, fast paced lambogs, and even drifty japanese cars ... different races require different types cars. Straight tracks/drag style need fast top speed 'sports' cars; 'muscle' cars for barging other cars and driftin around easy corners to 'drifters' for those dangerous hard U-pin-style cornering.

Other fun options are the pursuit, whereby u have to out run the police cars .. hard pounding it is, u have to keep your nerve and out run them by smashing other road users, lamposts, water barrels etc anything to slow em down and put some distance between u and the law .. as you progress you get more police cars on your tail, to road blocks, spiked roads, to the top speed unreal sports police cars, even a helicoptor to buzz your location!! Mad and fun is all i can say with a pace to match your heart race.

Overall the graphics get better as you play, the style suits the speed that u crave, and so much is going on that u can only focus on the track and wantin to 'Win'! its very addictive with just the right amount of learnin-curve and difficulty to want u to keep trying; i found it difficult to put down i was sooo drawn into the games pace and addictive story line (which i'll add more to another time)

One of te best racing games around makes it hard to match only by another EA game 'burnout revenge'
It pulls u in wanting to know the ending story, and boosting up the specs of your cars that u feel like there personally yours!

Its bit old now with EA pushin the franchise to the max with PS3's N4S Carbon, Pro street and the best 'Undercover' series; with the stories attracting Maggie Q!!! The anticipated N4S 'Shift' coming out soon sooo unless u wanna find out the fuss is about /u can find dirt cheap copy which will match the racing games of today past & future ... i can see a movie being made from 'Most Wanted' following in the steps of fast 'n' furious fame

Just rev up and dont look back for this fantastic speed game!
