Need For Speed Underground is a racing title from EA games for the Playstation 2. The games storyline, I'm being quite generous by even acknowledging it as a storyline, is rather lightweight. It just strings some random cut scenes depicting various street racers that want to take you down and so on. It won't really grab your attention and hook you as there is basically nothing to it, better than nothing though I guess! The games racing is thankfully far more satisfying, you will start off with a basic car fresh of the manufacturers line but as you work your way through the game you will be able to buy better cars and tune and style them to your ... the first, and the original, Need for Speed underground editiong - woohoo, me Im really into my cars so i could go on for ages about how you can modify, customize, tune your cars to your exact specification and make them look how you want. But thats just the start of it, it was a really good game for its time and has loads of depth to it. You've got; Sprint Races Drag Races Drift Races Circuit races Each one has its own individual characteristics and are fun in their own way, you've gotta play it to know what i mean. The choice of cars is big but not huge, Grand turismo is far superior in this respect, but this ... Read the complete review

Need for speed underground for PS2, made by EA games, rated age 3+, from 1 to 2 player's offline to 2 to 4 players online. This adrenaline fuelled world is set in Olympic city, where at night all the hot racers go to prove themselves. Olympic city is very cleverly designed with real landmarks put into it, Central park, Sunset Boulevard, empire state building and others. This game has an all star line up for the music from lostprophets to Nate dogg. The cars consist of Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Neon and Toyota Celica GT-S just to name a few. You start the game as a rookie with a bog standard car, your friend Samantha shows you the ropes and ... Read the complete review

When I first saw this game round my friends, El’s, I thought I’d like it as he had already told me what it I was like. But I didn’t think I’d like it this much. He paid 37.99 for this, which I think, is a bit too much! But I’m sure if you want to buy this game you will be able to find it a lot cheaper now. It comes in a case, like any other PS2 game, in a DVD like case. The front has a picture of a car displayed and it is drawn to look like it is moving extremely fast so you begin to know what the game must be about. It is bright orange with a few visual modifications on it so you begin to also see what kind of things you can buy for the car. The ... Read the complete review

Before now, racing games went something like this: get car, race car, win race, repeat. However, racing games just got a turbo boost. Nfs underground has given racing games a new breath of light. Nfs underground offers customizations beyond your wildest dreams. Gone is the boring look of old, and in is a new sensation known only as street racing. The cars now look far different from when they rolled out of the showroom and the street is now the track. Even though this game was inspired from the “fast and the furious” films, it still looks fresh and new. The option lists are endless, from bumpers to neons and exhausts to nitrous. The game captures the ... Read the complete review
