Advantages: great fun to play, real tense and exciting, once you start you might get addicted.
Disadvantages: i found the mini boss hard to defeat which annoyed me after a while and stopped me playing.
Gaining a new love for horror movies and finally digging out my playstation 2 i thought obscure would be the perfect game to start up my once dead playstation addiction.
Hearing its two player was awesome.
I got my best friend round and we'd play Obscure together alot. Its actually a really great game to play with a friend, especially a screamish friend.
The tense music really gets you excited and a great thing that you arent suppose to do but you can is if you get the bat you can actually hit each other which we'd do occasionally whilst we figured out where to find the next clue.
If you like games that make you think then you'll love this. If you like a bit of a scare you'll love this, those zombies always make me jump. If you like creepy music you'll love this.
And if you like the whole cliche highschool horror movies then this is by far the best game for you.
Combination of thinking and getting rid of monsters, real good for film fans cus theres a few bits where it stops to tell the story.
I have to say i still havent got round to finishing it but I got to a part where you go up a lift to fight this crazy monster that looks like a person after a reverse liposuction who has maggots sprouting out her body.
Me and my friend kept dying which when you're a bit crap at videogames starts to make the game a bit tedious.
It didnt help that we kept screaming, we even muted the music and put on some fall out boy because we're that cool.
But after remembering playing this game i really want to get back into it.
Its awesome.
Just play it, definitely one to try.
Summary: you'll either love it like it or not have an opinion, its not awful so you might as well try it.

- 04/08/08 Welcome to Dooyoo.
If you want higher ratings you need to add more info on things like what you do in the game (e.g. is it a RPG, First Person Shooter or a Strategy game?), the graphics (e.g. is there any slowdown, how do the characters look and what do the environments look like), the sound (e.g. soundtrack, effects, voice acting etc.) and how much content there is (e.g. how long did it take you to finish, were there any side missions and was there online play?). If you need any more advice send me a PM. |
