Advantages: Gameplay, co-op mode, characters
Disadvantages: Camera sometimes, ending
Me and my mate tried looking for a co-op survival horror game, after much searching on the internet we found this game on many peoples wishlists and quite highly rated.
Once started we could understand why, my mate mentioned how Silent Hill like it was, having never played it I wasn't sure if that was good (having heard lots of good stuff about SH).
We only bought it for the co-op aspect and am glad we did, the game is brilliant, especially since there is a puzzle aspect as well, unlike the new resident evil 5 you can shoot and move at the same time and there are numerous weapons to choose from.
One good aspect I liked was the different characters for different things, be it intuition, speed, initiative etc.
Much scarier than Resident Evil 5 which we bought on the back of this game, the graphics in cut scenes are better than I thought and the gameplay is very good for what it is in my opinion.
The only gripe is sometimes with the camera angles, rather than split screen it's one screen with both players on, meaning people can get lost, easily recitified with the ability to change who the camera is on though. It would be better if the game wouldn't allow you to go off screen with the other player...although numerous times it saved us as one player ran for the door repeatdly tapping the action button looking for the door off screen as I was being eaten.
Much better game than I thought and not real gripes about the same other than the ending maybe, thought the storyline was good, the ending was poor.
Summary: Very good game and better than RE5
