Pirates of the Caribbean - The Legend of Jack Sparrow (PS2)

When a major movie franchise is released, it's never long before the film studio decides to cash in on mega sales from game tie-ins. Some game developers rush out a poor game e.g. The Mummy while others put more time and effort into recreating the movie's world, as shown by Harry Potter games. Jack Sparrow's latest adventure falls somewhere in the middle. The game is set during the first movie. This game seemed to promise quite a bit at first but in the end turned out to be a fairly average slash and stab game that left me feeling a bit disappointed. As far as plot goes this game attempts to tell the story of how Captain Jack the character played by Johnny Depp in the film came to be the pirate that was featured in the successful movies, indeed Depp has leant his voice to support this game but it comes across as a bit flat like he was only there for the money.
