The fighting action is a little predictable, you do have lots of blades to choose from but there are only two basic attack moves and therefore the game does become repetitive and ultimately boring because of this. You do have a couple of special moves to bring some variety but they do little to make it really interesting.

This game seemed to promise quite a bit at first but in the end turned out to be a fairly average slash and stab game that left me feeling a bit disappointed. As far as plot goes this game attempts to tell the story of how Captain Jack the character played by Johnny Depp in the film came to be the pirate that was featured in the successful movies, indeed Depp has leant his voice to support this game but it comes across as a bit flat like he was only there for the money.
