As a fan of football managers games I was intrigued to see what Premier Manager 2009 had to offer. Said to be the longest running managerial game around I had high hopes.
From the outset there is a variety of leagues to choose from, though not as many as Footbal manager. Once more you can be a top team or a smaller team and your aim is to achieve success that the chairman sets you.
Once you pick your team and formation you can watch the game from a 3D screen. I don't think this feature works as it's too slow.
Signing players is too easy on this game. It is easy for smaller teams to sign players and therefore unrealistic. The training options are too complicated, so not worthwhile doing.
There is a daily inbox to giv you information on what is happening with your team and other clubs in the league. This does not have the same impact as Football Manager.
I would avoid buying this game unless you are a massive football fan.
