Fifa's big rival last year came with this edition of the game to compete with Fifa 2008. How well did the game do? Well not so well if you ask me as it could have been made better. The quality of the graphics in the game had come much improved. Players like Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and John Terry was so realistic then even before in the game. The pitches of certain stadiums looked much better in the game to. The game play has been changed and this was the problem of the game. The change of game play had made the game seem a little odd to play. Now with this game play running down the wing or making long throw passes was much harder in the ... Read the complete review

Attempting to answer the most long running of all football game questions is no easy task, and it is a task that is getting more and more difficult. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is an improvement on 2007, but is still hindered by the flaws that have plagued the series from start to finish. To start on a positive note, the game play is excellent, and in my opinion is the one key area in which it completely outshines the FIFA series. Dribbling is accurate, but not unrealistically so, passing is precise, but not unrealistically so, and shooting is good, but not unrealistically so. The realism of the game play is Pro Evolution Soccer's strongest feature, and since we ... Read the complete review

I am one of the biggest pro evo fans there is and converted during pro evo 2 for the PS1, which was a good eight years ago, so am a seasoned fan. For the 2008 edition of this game for the PS2, there are not a whole host of differences and it is essentially a very similar game to pro evo 6. The main new feature in this edition is the introduction of the new adapative AI system called Teamvision. This is a sophisticated AI program that learns from the user playing the game and adapts its play to the environment. Therefore you can not keep breaking down the computer in the same way and it will expose any defensive errors you have. Close control has also been ... Read the complete review

The Pro Evolution Soccer series and Fifa are always the main football games. This game has all the features of a great football game and has all the big clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and many more. In this edition the graphics are better than ever before and look quite realistic. The players have more detail than before and some more than others e.g. Cristiano Ronaldo looks very realistic while worse players look worse. There are also lots of arenas to choose from which is a nice touch. The sound like on most football games is a bit bad and sometimes the commentary is completely irrelevant. The music ... The ultimate football experience. Pro Evolution Soccer gets better and better every year and this edition has not failed to dissapoint. Pro Evo 2008 offers the same free flowing football at your fingertips, the main thing I love about Pro Evo is its soo unpredicatable like in real football, the amount of power you put on your passes, shots, free kicks and corners determines where that ball is going, its soo enjoyable and is the closest thing you'll find to real football in a video game. The game offers a range of modes such as exhibition where you can play against your mates or the computer, there is also an option for straight penalty shoot out in this game mode. Then ...
