Advantages: Gameplay, Vastness, Originality.

Disadvantages: None for me.

The most amazing thing about this game is, even though it wasn't next-gen, which was rumoured to be fantastic on the PS3, XBox360 and PC, which were failures in my opinion, this version was much better than them. It was quite similar to its predecessors Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and 6, which were among my favourite games of all time, but had a few new features, most notably World Tour.

This game is ideal for a night in with the lads, you'll get a lot of fun out of it. The best mode on the game? Master League, it's the best unique idea on a football game I have ever seen, excites me more than FIFA by miles, and will keep you addicted for a long time. You can make your own team, start with fake PES players or start with a real team, there is no real transfer money, but PES points which are quite good in my opinion. There are four leagues to choose from, A, B, C and D, which you can setup yourself, and start in the top league or Division 2. Players who retire will be brought back as 17 year-olds, another great idea.

Another mode I get a lot of fun out of is suprisingly Training, I love trying to score fantastic goals in it, made possible with a feature that lets you bring play back, I've played it for hours on end.

I'm gonna give Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 on PS2 5/5, I much prefer it to the Next-Gen versions on the bigger consoles, and I still enjoy it about 20 months after its release.

Summary: Fantastic football game which should get you addicted.
