Advantages: Better gameplay then Fifa
Disadvantages: Lack of licenses
To me this is the best Football game available although there is one massive let down that causes it to fall short big time of what it could achieve.
I used to be a big Fifa fan and always used to buy Fifa every year and play that for hours every day and get really into that game and i used to think it was the best things since sliced bread was invented and brought into the world. Then i went to a friends house and played this game which i wasn't really looking forward to as i always thought of Pro Evo as being a copycat and second best version of Fifa and i actually really liked the game play and i just felt more more comfortable playing it then i do Fifa although i did really dislike the teams available.
This game is only good if you are not an fan of English football or an Arsenal or Chelsea fan and you just want to play each other.
All the stadiums are re-named because they don't have the licenses so Old Trafford is called the Trad brick stadium and the team names are similar as Manchester United are called Man Red and Manchester City are called Man Blue and so on like that.
Additionally the kit isn't as realistic as Chelsea and Arsenals are as they can copy everything down to the sponsor on the shirt where as all the other teams have blank shirts which look disappointing.
It is still good to play but no where near a good as it could be. I personally think both Fifa and Pro Evolution Soccer have their advantages over each other and they both have their downsides but i think that Pro Evo does just steal the crown as being the better of the 2 games in my opinion.
Personally now i don't play either of these any more as i am now in to playing football managerial games which i find more exciting the Fifa and Pro Evo.
Summary: Still pretty good to play...

- 30/09/08 I felt the controls and movement felt really sluggish after PES4 but Konami certainly make the best footie games. Nice review :) tom |

- 30/09/08 The lack of licenses is the biggest letdown of Pro Evo. |
