Advantages: Better graphics and commentary than Pro Evo 6, Most realistic football game

Disadvantages: Did not improve enough on new modes

I am a lifelong Pro Evo fan - owning every single release dating back to the original, and knew that I had to buy this new release. After purchasing Pro Evo 2008 last year, I instantly knew that Konami had bettered themselves, even after the success of Pro Evo 6.

Once you load the game and get to the starting screen, you will be pleased to see that the menu's are better laid out and the different options are more accessible. The game is better updated and has more correct players and teams than last year, but there are still licencing issues which mean that some teams are still incorrect (Wales, Czech Republic, etc). This is something you have to come to terms with if you are to buy any game in the Pro Evo series. As for the game modes, there is no real difference between this release and the previous one. I felt that if this game was lacking anything, it would be the fact that there were no new game modes.
In-game play is fairly similar to Pro Evo 6 in my opinion but there are noticable improvements. Graphics are slightly more realistic and look more fluid. The one huge improvement lies in the commentary, with the words spoken being far more accurate with less repeating evident. I found the whole in game experience to be the most realistic of any football game.

All in all, the Pro Evo series is hands down the best football experience on the PS2. It is far more realistic than any of the FIFA series and also far more playable. As for the difference between Pro Evo 2008 and Pro Evo 6 - a definate improvement in my opinion. I would highly recommend this game to any life-long Pro Evo fans wanting an upgrade, or to anybody new to the Pro Evo experience.

Summary: All in all the best football simulation game ever! A must buy for any football fan!
