... (if we can even call it that in this game) but when the game finally arrived we didn't get that. When the game was finally released we get to enjoy this game with awful AI characters. If anyone ever gets annoyed with Sheva in Resident Evil 5 then after this game they'll regard her has the strongest AI character in any game. I shall just give you a brief example of their stupidity in Outbreak. If you are running through the first level you'll notice all 3 characters have 4 inventory slots and you need to use a na...more

Crowned Review Resident Evil: Outbreak (PS2): A Biohazard Disaster? (1907 words)

It doesn’t feel like it, but it has now been over a decade since the original Resident Evil (or Biohazard, if you’re Japanese) title burst onto the then still-youthful PlayStation scene. 1996’s best game was serious, violent and controversial, but also intelligent, challenging and gorgeous to look at. It came to define ‘survival-horror’ as we now know it today, and with two rip-roaring sequels following over the next four years, Capcom’s series was assured ‘classic’ status by the time the PSOne-era came to a close. However, Capcom aren’t renowned for the ‘quality over quantity’ train of the thought; their mantra is probably more along the lines of ‘never too ...  Read the complete review

I am a big fan of the series and I jumped at the chance of revisiting Raccoon City and boy was I disappointed with this game. The game is set during the outbreak in Raccoon City and is based in chapters, the first chapter is based in a bar moving out to the city streets and numerous other areas which I can't be bother to go into but their is I think 5 altogether. The game has 8 characters to play and each have their own abilities much of which are pretty useless. Kevin who is a police officer who actually carries a gun, Mark the bodyguard who also carries a gun and then it gets pointless when you use David the plumber who can throw wrenches but ...  Read the complete review

Resident evil outbreak is I have to say disappointing but great at the same time. There are many advantages with the game but at the same time disadvantages for example I really think that this game would have been a lot more enjoyable with the online capability. But on the up there are 8 playable characters and a lot of content and mini games to unlock as well as further playable characters. History Back in the first instalment of the series on the outskirts of racoon city strange reports of mysterious beings and attacks were being reported in and around racoon city. Citizens were being attacked by groups of about 10 people, the victims were ...  Read the complete review

Hi, this is my review for Resident Evil Outbreak. When I first bought this game, after being a fan of the series for a long time, I had already heard that it was online as Capcom had announced it over two years beforehand. This was, however, no benifit for me, as my network adaptor does not connect properly to the internet. However, my friend has the game as well and has written some points about the online play that he thinks are worth mentioning. Firstly I will explain the single-player mode. It is set, as with the other modes, in Raccoon City, and zombies are everywhere. The style is typical Resident Evil, and so is easy to get into if you know ...  Read the complete review

Products similar to Resident Evil: Outbreak (PS2)

Excellent combat, good story, new styles to use, good graphics It's still a bit tricky

More characters, more levels, more Viewtiful moves. Caution - May require patience

Has some good ideas but no Originality. Bad music, sound, controls, graphics and gameplay. Mostly everything.

Excellent tense affair. Little short on proper puzzles.
