I don't know what I'm playing at lately but I've really got into playing video games recently. I recently played the Simpsons Game on the playstation and then my son suggested I should have a go at this game, the Simpsons Hit and Run, because I do like my Simpsons.

This isn't a cartoony game like the other one is and is actually a bit older too. It's got much more computerish graphics to it though it's also in 3D. The idea of this is that it's a driving game basically. I'm Homer (and then other different characters later on) and I'm driving around a computer Springfield in my car to complete all these different tasks.

Whether I'm grabbing tokens or racing against the clock or trying to destroy an enemy's vehicle, the idea is basically that I'm testing my computer driving skills really. I really liked that I had to keep changing cars and that they all had different speeds, acceleration and toughness as it made the game a lot more varied and challenging than it first appeared to be.

I also liked that I had the option of completing as much or as little of the game as I wanted to. So if I wanted to just do the seven story missions (the little driving tests) I could do then move up a level. Or if I wanted a challenge I could try to find all of the collector items hidden around the level. In between missions you can get out of your car and do what you want, there's no limit to time or limit to lives or anything.

I didn't complete this game and I don't think I will. Frankly I'm just not a good enough gamer! Even though I've got unlimited lives and time, some of the challenges are just a bit too tricky for me. I thought this was good basic fun though and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes either the Simpsons or fun driving games in general. I had a look on Amazon and it's out of stock for them but you can get it second hand from marketplace sellers for £3 which is a bargain.

Summary: Highly Recommended.
