Advantages: Very like the simpsons t.v series
Disadvantages: none
I actually bought this game for my partner as she is a big fan of the simpsons, it didn't really look like my sort of game but I knew she would like it.
A few days later I was browsing the net as I often do when I looked over at the t.v and noticed just how good the simpsons hit and run game looked.
A while later I couldn't resist having a go so off I went.
The first thing that impressed me from reading the case was that the story line to this game was actually written by the simpsons producers and that all character voices in the game are taken from the genuine simpson characters. It is very much based on the t.v series so it will definately be a hit with a simpsons fan.
During the game there are 56 missions to play over 7 levels. It's primaraly a racing game but you can explore springfield on both foot or in car which makes it a little more interesting.
You play as a different character in each level and get to play as Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Apu. Each level ahs it's own plot and missions to complete and they are very like the simpsons episodes.
The graphics are pretty good and resemble the simpsons very much and the soundtrack is also very fitting.
The controls are simple to use and the camera in particular is impressive.
Lets face it up untill now all the Simpson's games have been complete rubbish but this game changes it all. I began playing this game determined to not like it but the fun challenges, storylines and characters soon had me hooked and I ended up playing the game through.
I guess I learnt not to judge a book by it's cover. I am sure this game will be loved by all Simpson's fans and even non Simpson's fans.
Summary: Very good game which came as a huge surprise
