Mercenaries Playground of Destruction (PS2) ... Playground of destruction is a shooter for the Playstation 2 developed by Pandemic. The plotline is rather basic and slightly controversial, North Korea has gone crazy and starts producing weapons of mass destruction so every western faction soon invades in a frenzy to take out all the leaders and military power the country might have before they start trying to blow up the world. The story is ok but the focus is solidly on the gameplay here. You take the role of a Mercenary for hire, you can choose from one of three Christopher Jacobs, the former Delta force marine, Mattias Nilson a tough as nails ex army officer and Jennifer Mui an ex MI6 agent. The Sims: Bustin Out (PS2) ... like when I got the Wii Sims game (Castaway) I couldn t help but feel slightly concerned over whether the gameplay would fall as a result. I have to say after being so impressed with the original Sim games on the PC I just had to try it out on another console and luckily for me, The Sims Bustin Out was my first encounter of this! I must admit I did find the gameplay to be slightly disappointing however, this was invitable because in my opinion the Sims belongs on PC. With that aside I still found the game to be excellent entertainment value and on that note would really recommend it. The Sims (PS2) ... Sims is a simulation game for the Playstation 2 developed by EA games. The Sims for Playstation 2 actually has a storyline in the Get a Life mode which teaches you how the game works and is quite fun in itself, it follows the story of a young adult as he moves from his parents home and appropriately gets a life of his own, this involves making friends, getting new stuff, getting a job and so on. The actual story itself isn t very deep as it is just a glorified tutorial. The gameplay has translated itself fairly well to the Playstation 2 and most of the content of the PC version seems to have made the jump.
