**Overview**
Singstar is a brilliant piece of technology to measure your pitch rhythm and tone wile singing into the the awesome microphones. With a mix of "oldies" and new songs to really spice things up. I love this game so much, because i am really suckish at games that require any button skill (so pretty much anything else) but Singstar just requires you to be able to sing, in time and in tune to 30 specially selected songs . The songs on Singstar party, are really quite fun to just sing-along too (even if like me, you cna't sing all that well) Also a simplistic rating system gives you a clue on how well your doing, so I think that the rating ranges from awful(0-100points) to Singstar(9000+) usually a skilled player wants to aim for about 7500 points to get a reletivly nice rating of Lead Singer.

**advantages/Disadvantages**
Well lets start with the negatives then finish on the positives shall we? To be honest, the songs get really repetetive after a while and it's not something that can be playedby ones self, also the difficulty settings pose a little bit of a problem as the jump between them is far too large (your best sticking with easy, trust me) also if like me you struggle to pitch and you want to sing a song that is perhaps the wrong pitch you won't get very many points because it doesn't take into account pitch properly(so you could be hitting the right notes but because your pitching too high or too low your not getting the points), furthermore you get more points for putting power into your performance and less points for the notes you hit which is very unfair on those of us who can't get the power but can hit the notes.

Right enough negativity; positive, positive, positive. The songs are a collection of differerent artists styles and even genres so you can normally find something to suit you. The songs themselves are very well known so you can usually pick up the lyrics or the tune if your not too familar. If you have 3 or 4 people you can have a full on tournament so you can show of your singing prowess and battle it out on battle mode, or work with everyone on duet or pass the mic, so yes it's a very good game to play in a group, then you can just watch the video of the songs and listen to some free music!
**my opinion**
I fell in love with this game when I played it around my cousins house and I still love it now, it always keeps me entertained on those rainy days we often see in Britain, even though I would prefer it if I had some competition other than my cousins or myself (no social life because i am just a hermit) I still love the feeling of acomplishment when you kick your previous high scores butt. I dislike some of the songs on Singstar party but thats only because I can't sing them :) All in all i love singstar and to be honest its fantabulous
