Advantages: Great for Abba fans!
Disadvantages: None so far
I bought Singstar Abba for my Playstation not long ago. Seeing it advertised I was so excited, following the film of Mamma Mia, I've become newly obsessed with Abba!
The game itself has loads of Abba songs, most of which I knew, although some are a bit iffy! The modes of play include solo version, where you can play on your own to see what kind of scores you can get, duet singing, where you can sing with a partner (either both singing all the song together or singing bits each) or party play. I've spent the most time on the party play as I've had a big group of people playing.
At the beginning of the game, each player's name is entered onto the Playstation so that you know whose turn it is to sing.
In the party play that we did, there was a song for one person from each of the two teams to sing, then it went on to another song with another player from each team.
There was also a part where all the players from each team were singing in one song, passing the microphone from one player to the next.
I'd say this is a good, enjoyable game for Abba fans and can be enjoyed by a range of ages. A great addition to the Singstar collection!
Summary: Good, Abba fun!
