Singstar Anthems (PS2)

I am a huge fan of the Singstar series and constantly find myself on the lookout for their games in the preowned section of my local game store (the game privilege points help too!). The game is played with two microphones which are purchased seperately for around £30-£35 with all the necessary equipment and one of the singstar games (not all games are available with the microphones which is a shame!). The aim of the game is to match the pitch and/or tone of the note and you score points based on how well you are doing. You also receive a rating for each line (such as cool, or bad etc). This was my first introduction into singstar and I bought this one because it had all the karaoke greats such as Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart and Whitney Houston - I wanna dance with somebody. The initial getting used to what you have to do and when you have to do it is slightly tricky and I suggest that if you intend on having a singstar party (an absolute essential to getting the most out of this product) then you should go through the training and see exactly what it is that you need to do. Personally I love singstar alltogether! I think it is a really fun game for everyone to play. I played it non-stop at a new years eve party once becasue playing multiplayer is really fun and very funny! Its simple to use and easy to play (depending on how good you are!) You can choose duet or battle with multiplayer or just go solo if your brave! I find singstar very fun and the anthems if full of classics! 'I will survive' and 'I wanna dance with somebody' and also 'It's raining men' will have everyone singing (or shouting) their hearts out, and maybe dacing at the same time! Having already been a huge fan of the singstar series I was very excited to own yet another song disk. Anthems contains some great songs from many decades so there really is something for everyone. Some of my personal favourites on the disk are Queen- Radio ga ga and Bonnie Tyler- Total Eclipse of the Heart. This game has previously been poorly reviewed by some people as it has been seen as quite 'camp' with a lot of songs by big diva's but that wasn't as issue for me but I suppose some people may not nessaceraly like singing songs like that.
